you said you were surprised that hyman had more points than brown or something around those words and i explained to you why that shouldn't be a surprise
Leafs highest points getter has 69 pts. Look at the OP. Balanced scoring. Brown has just as much chance of scoring as Hyman had this year. There are no 85 points scorers on this team.

They probably have one of the better collections of young talent in the league.

I am really interested to see how the perform in the playoffs though when the checking gets tighter.

Since you believe that they would sweep the Bruins, it's self explanatory what you think that their performance would be when "checking gets tighter".

no he didn't. brown spent half the season with martin and moore and the other half with bozak and jvr. he played all those games on the bottom two lines. hyman played with matthews for 3/4 of the season and with nylander for the enitre season. hyman easily had better linemates to play with. also what does the 85 points have to do with my response.

His linemates scored only 61 and 63 points. You make it sound like his 40 points without any PP time were a product of a pair of top 10 NHL scorers. As I said, he does not get enough credit for the player he that he is.

its because he has stone hands, no finish ability, no passing ability, no offensive iq whatsoever. there's a reason why nylander and matthews never pass him the puck. he and brown are virtually the same player, and considering the fact that hyman had only 12 more points than brown playing with 2 more superior players says quite a bit of how good (or not good) hyman really is.

" The OP is right because nobody did have 10 40 point scores, stop whining about injuries to detract from the leafs' unrivaled depth"
"If Matthews was healthy he'd have 70 points by now, so we do have a 70 point scorer"
Do you leafers really not see why people get a wee bit frustrated with you sometimes?

Yeah he sure leetched off a pair of 60pt players this year. Your math does not add up.

What? Lol.. the original poster was right, what are you even complaining about? That other teams could also have had ten if not for injuries? Well good for you you're right but guess what..... THEY DIDN'T!!!.
I know that I am right. The question is why so many went into meltdown mode because of that.

Yup they didn't, but only because of injuries. Just like Matthews didn't score 40 goals this year and didn't improve on his points totals, right?

Players who score 40 pts without PP time do not leech off 60 pts players with PP time. Again your math and logic doe not add up.
in hyman's case, they do. he doesn't have any offensive ability for me to say otherwise. he for sure would get less than 40 points if, hypothetically, he was playing with jvr and bozak on the top line and got pp time

No players over 70 points is interesting(Marner at 69 though, kid surprised me the most this year). But the depth scoring seems really strong, I wonder how that holds up with the clampdown defensively in the post season.

Bruins have 2 players over 70
PHI has 3
TB has 2
Pitts has 3

The only other "top" team with no 70+ point scorers is NSH.

Babcock plays his top forwards 16-17 minutes a night compared to 20+ for most coaches.

The Knights have 21 players with at least 10 points, yet only 2 players that played all 82 games.

Yes Matthews didn't improve on his point totals because of injuries and we are told over and over again how leafs have no 70 point players.

Leafs were the 4th healthiest team in the league this year.

I'm shocked that a team with lots of depth that balances ice time so players aren't over-strained didn't have a lot of injuries.

I seem to remember HF also whining that the Leafs were "generationally healthy" last year.

Maybe you should get used to it? Ahaha.
