Were lucky enough to not have to choose, we get both
I’m not hearing much about that, everyone seems to be hanging their hat on the disallowed goal which I believe was the right call. I guarantee that if they called it a goal Florida would have challenged and it would have been called back anyways, Bobs pad was pushed into the net.

The real issue, where were the core players cause they weren’t playing playoff hockey.

That’s what everyone posting keeps forgetting. They see puck across the line and just assume leafs got screwed.
We need to see the picture of the puck under his pad at the moment the whistle blew. That’s the point at which the judgment is made.

If I were a Leafs fan I’d be more upset about the blatant interference as the winning goal was scored but hey, it’s not as dramatic.

I am beyond annoyed about it... especially after being told last year over and over again how those kinds of interference calls are obvious and get called every time after the JT goal was called off.

The technology exists to allow pages on books to be read from outer space, but the league goes with 240i replay cameras while broadcasting games in 4K.

This is absolutely inexcusable, and anyone saying anything differently is beyond blind, or a league apologist and NOT a Leaf fan. Just looooooook.

WARMINGTON: The puck was not the only thing that crossed the line in the stolen goal of 2023

But this was after the whistle that everyone said blew, right after Rielly pushed his pad in the net!!!

Core players are in the next 5-10 threads. Hes allowed to poke at the loose puck and the GWG is basically something we come to expect. Same thihg happened on the winner to eliminate us last year

When was this picture taken relative to the whistle that ended play?

it was one of those "I was thinking about blowing the whistle, even though the play was live, but I really really really really was thinking about, so theres that, I guess!"

reporter Q "OK I guess that sounds like good I guess?

Reporter Q. excuse me but if you were thinking about blowing the whistle, then perhaps you'd let us know why it was that you reviewed it?

Official A. OK That's it gotta go thanks everybody have a good night

the puck is definitely behind the pad and unless theres some new kind of funky physics happening the puck should definitely be in front of his pad.

If it's behind the pad there's only three ways to get there, over, under or around.

Let's stop saying it's untradable. Let's start to believe that it is. David Clarkson was tradable, anyone is tradable.

I wouldn't say they did nothing. Sometimes they didn't do a lot, sometimes they did more, but they also didn't have salaries that handcuffed the franchise, and it allowed them to afford a great supporting cast. It all has a ripple effect. I agree that on the surface comparing this core to that San Jose core is apt, but at the end of the day, they still won a hell of a lot more than this core is on pace to win and that hurts most of all because history views them as a bunch of losers.
you're gonna have to pay to make that go away.. which it ain't cause he has a NTC

Stop the insanity! lol

I mean, I know outcomes in nearly professional sports are, shall we say "not random", but I watch games for the talent of the players and the skill.

Toronto won game 5 by a score of 3-2 on the ice, but lost 3-2 in the boardrooms.

No they lost 3-2 on the ice. Those conspiracy theories are not true. The insanity is thinking year after year the league is out to screw the leafs.

People keep saying this but go have a look at Perry's goal that went in against us, they reviewed it for 5 minutes and Perry actually did push Samsonov's pad quite blatantly, Rielly's no goal call wasn't even comparable there.

We need to see the picture of the puck under his pad at the moment the whistle blew. That’s the point at which the judgment is made.

The whistle didn't blow

They should have walked over these florida pretenders

It was too little too late...if they played the first 3 games like the way they played the last 2 games, they probably win the series...the team wasn't playing cohesively and with a purpose...players like McCabe was too excited and over-extended himself, jumping up in the play when he should be playing defense...players like Marner thinking he's in the OHL still...there's very little room for mistakes in the playoffs...blame could be attributed to Keefe for not preparing the team.

I don't think that is what people should get pissed off about. That was kind of at the end of the play.

That stick you see there belonging to a Leaf? Rielly's. That play is still very much alive and that is more of a goal than the Perry one in the first series.
