A lot of the constantly negative fans preferred when the Leafs never came close to the playoffs; they didn't have to think then, they could just bitch 24-7.You preferred the years before when they were losers and didnt make the playoffs? Shockingly stupid.
A good regular season player does that. How can justify keeping this core together? You will keep getting the same results come playoff time. Matthews can lead you to the playoffs but he disappears when they start.lmao which complimentary player wins back to back rockets, a hart trophy and a ted Lindsay. if they are complimentary how in the f*** are you going to build around Reilly and Knies?????
hahahahah you won't make the playoffs without a 1C so the heart will do wonders in the regular season for usA good regular season player does that. How can justify keeping this core together? Reilly and Knies may not be on the same level talent wise as Matthews or Marner but they have heart and put it all out there in these playoffs.

Wow you're such a math wizard, coregulations sparky! Now tell me what NHL team holds the record for not winning a Conference Final.you know 1 team wins a year right? If you cant handle that fact then maybe stop watching sports.. it's gonna let you down a lot more than lift you up.
You ain't winning no cup with these guys either. It's been 7 f***** seasons and they have shown nothing other than getting respect in a handshake line.hahahahah you won't make the playoffs without a 1C so the heart will do wonders in the regular season for us
people keep spouting off about 7 seasons; if the leafs miss the playoffs in 17 and 18 like they should have as a rebuilding team then all of a sudden this narrative looks stupid. You ain't winning no cup with these guys either. Excuses excuses. All guys play through injuries this time of year. It's not just about him scoring, the fact in 2 out of the last 3 games was more of the same for him and Marner says enough. The problem is not enough of you look around the league and see what star players do in the playoffs. Why did he have a 12 game point streak going back to last year before he hurt his hand in game 3 then? That's not close to disappearing like you say.
You have to do something to change this team. Rearranging the bottom 6 isn't it. One or two of the big 4 has to be moved. If Matthews doesn't renew this summer then he's the one to go.people keep spouting off about 7 seasons; if the leafs miss the playoffs in 17 and 18 like they should have as a rebuilding team then all of a sudden this narrative looks stupid.
Hey man if your prerogative is trading a star 1C and getting shafted on any deal you get for him and then missing the playoffs because you can't find another 1C then you do you
all im saying is you can rearrange and trade your 1C just don't expect to make the playoffs in this division after and probably be without another 1C for a decade. As long as people are ok with that then by all means get out the pitchforks and lets chase another star 1C out of this cityExcuses excuses. All guys play through injuries this time of year. You know who I never saw dive or complain and engage with the refs?
ROR, Schenn, Acciari, Lafferty, McCabe, mostly Rielly...
Basically every player who played with a bit of balls this series.
LOLOLOLOL Football??? Google Lorne Park Championships champ and when you're done try the Toronto Red Wings. After that look up the London Knights roster in 98. The tough guy beat me out of a job. STFUI played Football manA little more physical than hockey. Played with Orlando Franklin too who went to the NFL. You ever play with anyone who went anywhere?
Rielly went after the refs multiple times in this game alone
I am a little upset that Gudas didn't have his head taken off after the winning goal.. Full cross check to the face... would anyone be upset? The Kampf hit... then that.. He needs his head caved in next year when they play... as soon as the puck drops
Fine by me cause making the playoffs isn't the goal. Winning a cup is the goal. I don't see this core doing it. Too many games where they no show.all im saying is you can rearrange and trade your 1C just don't expect to make the playoffs in this division after and probably be without another 1C for a decade. Not to mention, he literally held Jarnkrok's stick to prevent the defender from blocking the GWG and then he gloats about it. He knew the officials weren't calling shit on him and took full advantage. I wish Jarnkrok at least went to the refs to call them out on that play.
I mean - can you even make it more blatant than that?
You're a good guy and I like you, but you've witnessed a cup, many of us haven't and we've been holding on for decades. The sun might might rise tomorrow but we're tired of being disappointed. 56 years is a failure. The sun will still rise tomorrow. Good night all!
