This series ended up being one of the least penalized series in the last 20 years. Despite Florida leaning the NHL in penalty minutes in both the regular season and the playoffs up to that point. But I'm sure that had no bearing on this series, right?

as long as Tavares's contract is on the books Leafs should not look to go for the cup. They should use this period wisely and retool/rebuild.

The window is closed for the next 2 to 3 years IMO, Leafs gotta have a foresight and do the right thing. Bring in a new GM and let him get this roster ready to compete within 3 to 4 years time

Get some one in here that can rebuild this team. It should be built around Rielly, Knies and Woll. The rest can get lost. IMO Matthews and Marner aren't guys you build around, they are complimentary players. I know it hurts to hear it but that's what they are. They are great in the regular season but have too many no shows in the playoffs.

Id like to start by saying I'm certsin there is NOT a conspiracy against the Leafs. However, the NHL does have a problem with their reffing and DoPS. More transparency including a panel to review reffing performances with some transparency in the results could go a long ways to gaining some trust with fans and improve consistency,/hold refs to a standard.

Ridiculous the refs never have to answer questions and are coddled by the NHL.
