Can we please rest Thornton tomorrow. There is no way he should play tomorrow. He’s already out of gas.

Put Robertson in so we at least have another good shot on the 2nd unit besides Nylander.

Robertson isn’t playing anymore games for Toronto this year or he burns a year off his ELC

One, that's ok on Campbell. We have proven time and time again that with AVERAGE goaltending we win most games. Two, completely agree. We aren't the NJD of yesteryear - our strength is our pressure and offense. To pull that back is always asking for trouble.

But I have to admit, it's good to see us tighten up and close this one out.

I would say Campbell saved our ass but I can’t really recall a single save where I went “oh my god how did that not go in.”

Price had 2-3 of those. When Rielly redeemed himself and we were up 2-1 after the third, I knew we will shut it down.

it's not Marner's style of game. I think internally people are probably chatting with Marner to get him more engaged.

I don't care about points with Marner in the playoffs but need him more engaged all over the ice creating turnovers, forcing teams to play him to allow more room for Matthews

Looks like Marner is playing scared. The little self preservation stop ups, the puck watching, the poke checks. He made a few brilliant defensive poke checks and stuffed Weber and assisted on that GWG. And had a couple of high energy PK’s. So it’s not all lost at all. But in a very hard fought environment he’s definitely hesitant to get in the fray and I think it hurts his effectiveness.

Kerfoot has been an unsung hero. He has been great. He's been hitting, creating some opportunities but defensively has been great

Joe, Nash and Gally were garbage. They bring nothing. I have more confidence in Robertsson and Brooks

I think Brooks is very well equipped to be a playoff player. He just gets the game

Hyman had a better game but still not the same Hyman

Yeah I like Brooks on the 4th. I'm not a fan of Galchenyuk or Thornton especially.

Added grit and toughness has helped us tremendously this year. Just love Bogosian.

Robertson in tomorrow please. We need the firepower. I'd sit Thornton for him. Or sit Nash. And if they don't want to do that, I'd sit Galchenyuk. He hasn't responded to the benching the way I'd hoped. Really hope Foligno is good to go tomorrow. I felt uncomfortable with our lines most of the net tbh. Especially with Marner having a trash performance and weighing the top line down

It's a good game when he doesn't have to. Price won't always be able to pull out generational saves every game. We could have easily won by at least 1-2 more, and ditto last game. Tomorrow's game will be interesting though.

Good players are hard to touch. I thought overall we played quite physical. But yea can’t hurt to give him a proper welcome to the playoffs next game.
