The first 2 were good. The 3rd not so good. Can we stop going into a shell and this was a problem with the Babcock teams too. It's a win though and sometimes you need your goalie to steal you portions of a game.

Big win. Price kept it closer than it should have been. We took our foot off the gas in the 3rd period and Campbell was great.

Kerfoot is so good. He’s so greasy and uses his speed and skill in a very disruptive way.

Of all the scapegoat players to win leaf fans over this series... I never would have suspected Kerfoot.

Campbell didn't steal that one. He had a good 3rd period, yes, but Leafs carried the play for 40 minutes. Sitting back is never a winning strategy.

Nylander was battling like a beast in the corners tonight. Marner needs to get that message now. Almost the entire lineup has learned what it takes. Marner is not on board so far.

I jumped out of the sofa when I saw Willie battled two Habs in the corner and still won the battle. Willie is doing all the little things.

Also I would like to bring attention to that Kerfoot 2v1 because no one mentioned it. So often we don’t give credit based on the name of the player commentators included. Late in the 3rd that was a phenomenal board battle win against 2 Habs by Nylander to set up the 2v1. Commentators didn’t mention it. I’ve been up and down on Willy even though I’m a huge fan but that kind of grit - yes I said it - was something we often didn’t see from him earlier. What a phenomenal display of toughness late in the game.

Campbell was solid when he needed to be but looking at this shot map, I wouldn’t say he stole anything.

We need to be a bit more aggressive with the lead though and not just dump it in and change.

One, that's ok on Campbell. We have proven time and time again that with AVERAGE goaltending we win most games. Two, completely agree. We aren't the NJD of yesteryear - our strength is our pressure and offense. To pull that back is always asking for trouble.

But I have to admit, it's good to see us tighten up and close this one out.
