Gosh damn what a goal Mitch!

Nice comeback after a very boring game.
Anyone using the word Gosh is aces in my book.

Mitch, that was sick!
Sammy, my man.
Keefe's expectations of Willy are growing, kid was out for a big amount of the 3rd.
TL to tie and JT missing by a whisker at the end.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me...is anyone else seeing the gap between the forwards and D increasing in our zone? During the period when we were losing D to injury every other game, I found our structure to be as tight as I've seen it in years. F coming back, supporting D down low, and really allowing D short passes to break out quickly and effectively. The stretch pass because of the length between the two is becoming a thing again, at least to my eyes, and I think we're having more difficulty breaking out of our end because of it. Or am I wrong?

The QC
I didn't like the way we played the first 50 minutes of that game. Didn't give up too much, but were sloppy with the puck and lost pretty much every battle, very low intensity and engagement.

The last 10 minutes were completely different. Engaged in every battle, winning most, the intensity level was 100x what it was earlier in the game.

Great snipe by Timmy, but he put in the hard work to get positive position for the opportunity.

What can you say about Mitch, great read, great skill, great finish. Not a lot of guys could make that play.

Samsonov was solid again. Need to see him in some road games to get a feel if he is for real, or just a hommie.

That wasn't their best game, they didn't necessarily deserve to lose but they also didn't necessarily deserve to win either it was a game that was just kind of there.

But good teams find ways to win games where they are just kind of there.

The Leafs are a very good team.

I felt great about our Leafs in the first period.

The good feelings about our Leafs chances for victory were dashed in the 2nd period pretty quickly.

When they came out and pushed for the tie in the 3rd, I was just hoping for the loser point!

When Liljegren tied it in the last few minutes, I thought there was a chance we could get the 2 points.

That positive feeling was scratched when Tavaras hit the crossbar in the last few seconds. My mind decided that surely that was the last chance for 2 points.

Going into OT, I thought for sure that the Rangers would score in OT.

Then... Mitch Marner strikes with his magic!!! Thank you Mitch!!!

With David Kampf on the ice for some reason.

That's an odd choice but it worked.
