Holl led the Leafs with nearly 25 minutes of ice time, and he deserved it. Brodie looked good tonight as well and Morgan was skating and jumping into the play like he did a few years ago.

Is it too early to say the Leafs' blue line looks ... pretty good?

Nylander wwwaaayyy more noticeable tonight. Simmonds and Bogo have been great adds, really fill out some needs and solid in their roles. Kerfoot I’m just not feeling at all, he’s meh in every department. Andy doing what needed to be done at the crucial moment.

We deserved this win. The first period we looked like we were on a power play, then apparently the refs agreed.

Two more points.

The only downside to playing Edmonton so many times, I was hoping to not see too much of Barrie again.

That is some embarrassing ass zhit from the refs. Completely changed the game when it was utterly under control. Can hardly even evaluate the gameplay when a game gets wrecked by the refs like that. Garbage. This has to stop.

Another gutsy win anyways for the boys. Big Papi comes through and McDavid doesn't. Again.

You know its funny - Matthews doesn't feel like he's completely untracked yet but he's still at a 52gl/92pt pace.

And I'll keep giving fred props even if his save percentage isn't there yet. He's been dynamite since that Ottawa game and tonight the refs screwed his stats.

Leafs are doing great. The back end and overall team defense look better this year, but our division kinda stinks in my opinion. Edmonton look horrible this year

Another gutsy win by the team. I thought in the 1st we gave up too much, but we also generated a lot. It was the opposite in the 2nd. Didn't give up too much but barely generated anything either before the refs took over the game.
Keefe needs to call out the refs. Awful display.

Again....Mackinnon is way better than draisaitl and i just dont think he is that generational superstar people think he is

Well i agree that Mackinnon is probably better, but Draisatl is definitely a super star player. I think generational is a bit hyperbole, im not sure i'm seeing that from logical posters. He outscores Mcdavid on the same team, you know, the consensus best player in the league to many who is purely offensive. Not sure what Draisatl is supposed to do to be able to prove himself anymore.

McDavid and Draisital are much better then Matthews and JT

Matthews is an elite goal scorer but his playmaking is not even close to elite

Toronto is like a better version of Edmonton but they aren't stanley cup contenders yet

Edmonton doesn't have a Marner or Nylander. I don't think their best defenceman is as good as Muzzin or Rielly. They don't have a decent goalie.

How are these 2 teams similar? Because they have crappy 4th lines? That's flimsy reasoning.

Toronto's playing like shit but they're not a shit team. There's a difference.

That was the best game Rielly played all season. Infinitely better than how he did in either game against Calgary even though the advanced stats were still not good.
Stats not good tonight? I haven't looked, but he kept us in our zone a few times because he couldn't make a simple play without pressure. It was like the had the yips in his corner.

He was much better offensively and with his reads tonight. I didn't mind his game once we were out of our zone (and even in it, as long as he wasn't breaking out)
