Edmonton doesn't have a Marner or Nylander. I don't think their best defenceman is as good as Muzzin or Rielly. They don't have a decent goalie.

How are these 2 teams similar? Because they have crappy 4th lines? That's flimsy reasoning.

Toronto's playing like shit but they're not a shit team. There's a difference.
I know I mean Edmonton is the shit version of Toronto... they are similar in style but Toronto is good (relative to Edmonton).

At this point in their careers I am not sure in what universe I would sit Engvall to play Barabanov?

Could have used an extra PKer tonight.

Glad we pulled out a win given the garbage officiating. I still hate seeing Mikheyev on the top 6, but I think Keefe is atleast partially doing it to get him going offensively

Pretty telling when BOTH fan bases saying it was badly officiated.
Problem is, the Oilers had no business even being in the game. The Leafs went up 2 and suddenly you couldn't breathe on an Oilers player. Sure, the refs made a shitty call or two later on, but that was after the Oilers made it even. I'm tired of the refs dictating the outcome based on the score. Its getting ridiculous with the game management at this point.

First time in my life I'm happy with a Maple Leafs defense core lol.
They look sturdy. Not too often am I worried. Oddly enough it's looking like Dermott is the weakest (if we can say that)

But Bogo and Holl are carrying a load I didnt think they were capable of; also think theres still room for Brodie , Rielly and Muzz to kick it up a notch.

Good to see

I agree the refs were atrocious this game, but they were actually kind of more on our side in the third.

Regradless, 7-2. Can't complain.
Yeah, the refs were on our side in the third, they gave the oilers 3 powerplays and ours 2. We should count our blessings lol. 7 PPs for them to our 4. Once again, it’s not that we’re getting more penalties than the opposition each game, it’s that the calls against us are so weak.

I feel bad for McDavid, who is literally wasting his career in Edmonton....but not the Oilers organization or their Leaf/Toronto-hating fanbase

I didn't think the John Tavares contract would get ugly this fast. The guy was getting pushed off the puck by ******* Ethan Bear.

This team is just giving us false hope by winning these games.
I look at it differently...imagine how good we’ll be when we actually start playing 60 minutes and don’t have to play against the refs.

Someone give these guys an eye exam.

The Flatlander there never seen a hill before in his life either. How’s he going to see a puck. He was that late on a whistle on freddy thete one scrum in the crease, i went for a pee and made it back before the whistle.
The other striper there was putting on a show for his home team.

but joking aside, this could have been a four three game with no penalties and just let two teams get rolling. The refs were terrible.

It would be a miracle for us to get him. I just cant see it happening. Even if he asks to be traded here and to no other team. I just cant see Dubas (if still around if McDave does ask for a trade) or any other GM pulling that off.
