I think our RW spots are a little more firm than LW as well. It's easier to play Thornton, especially when he's a C option who can play LW on all 4 lines.I think it came down to Thornton or Perry. Seeing how they are playing Thornton (not as a Center) you would have thought that Perry was the smarter choice. Especially the edge he brings that Thornton does not.
But dont get me wrong, I know Thornton is hurt right now. But I like what hes brought to this team as well.
With Perry you're basically locked into a bottom 6 Rw option fighting with Simmonds, Spezza and some others
