Gary/Jacobs blinked 1st ... Shanny told em they would either go 6 on 5 or use an ATO to start .. my guess is Tampa intervened and said heh Gary we don't want fans leaving building after 10 minutes of game

I’m happy. I want Samsonov rested but most importantly healthy. He’s been excellent. Wolls been great too, give him the last couple games keep him sharp for playoffs and we’re golden.

Matthews had 60 goals and won the Hart and the Rocket last year and that is "clearly better" than the 40 goals and not likely a single Hart vote this year.
So does that make Matthews "clearly worse" this year (afteral he scored 20 less goals) and Is that the same as comparing the goaltending last year to this year based on personal stats saying the goaltending is "clearly better" based on those same 165 games comparison?,
So what, has clearly better gotten us here?

Has it not gotten tiring picking up and putting down those goal posts on our goaltending situation for the last 8 months? I figured your back would give out at some point. I am sure if Samsonov does well in round 1 there will be a trademarked Mess "That is great but..." follow up as to why the goaltending is bad or "unproven". Just admit you were wrong and go yell at a cloud or something.

The fact that some teams were able to manipulate the cap and league rules to basically win a cup (i.e. Tampa) and they take a hard stance on something like this toronto goalie situation is just insane. I mean thankfully logic prevails and Woll is in tonight, but give me a break that it got to this.
Honestly the way this league is run is such a joke. I HATE the bettman era so much. is there any chance his guy retires in the near future?

All you can do his hope Arizona keeps bombing since Bettman's hinged a lot of his stake on hockey succeeding there and hope he'll retire out of embarassment.
He's probably got the draft lottery rigged for them to win it this year.

It was a message sent to Leafs end of story .. Gary/Jacobs don't like us end of story .. they never did .. these goofs are cheapest tightwads going .. Jacobs and his gang of 10 other tightwads run league .. they are freakin jealous of teams wealth .. in this case i would be willing to bet a G note that Tampa owner called Gary or Jacobs and told him look i have a full house of half Canadians at this game who are spending $$$ I need to keep this team afloat .. i can't have people leaving after 10 minutes we need da concessions and merch .. unfortunately Tampa has a hard time meeting its expenses and it is only in playoffs where owner makes some $$$ .. that would be enough for Gary to make the exemption happen as Jacobs can't lose one of his guys .. personally if i got on that AC flight at 7am this morning and drove down to Naples and picked up my mom (my dad had seasons past few years) and then drove back up 3 hours to tampa for game then I would be one of these 7K at game raising a sh*t storm too .. thank god i back out .. heading down for game 3 instead to see my mom
