That's why i'd like to see him have that kind of luxury to try things as much as possible being the top dog in Laval.
he looks like he has no confidence, you can see him holding it before shooting, even on short passes and under pressure he just seems to be unsure of the right move.

The argument that pre season is for getting timing, game shape applies to every team, yet the Habs seem to be the only team that can't seem to get their shit together.
Name me one prospect that has been lights out? Some have been ok but none have stood out other than maybe Reinbacher.

Those who predicted a bottom 5 finish seem to know what they are talking about.

Teams get their crap together in pre season, except for the Habs. They win one pre season game every couple of years.
Habs have always been bad in pre-season since I've been watching them. Either lack of preparation or the vets just don't care. Prospect pool haven't been that great pre-2018 either.

Unless you want to argue that Kovacevic and Savard has shown more or have been better, then yes, seems like its enough
I think Mailloux has looked more dynamic, but positionally he needs more seasoning maybe. They probably won't want to rush him since he's missed so much development time.

Like it was said last season

Habs bring too many players during the preseason. There is no strats or plans because they amount of players is just too much. 90% of the players have been completely lost out there.

I get it we need to test them but man letting players like Stephens playing 2 preseason games is absolutely useless.
Part of their AHL deal many times. He got his licks in, deal is done. All is good. But yeah, too many bodies. Last two games, you need to have at least your top 9 forwards and top 6 Ds locked in.

Reinbacher looks good.

I admit to have a difficult time conciliating that all these guys supposedly are having a great game, yet the team keeps losing.

I know, its preseason. But its preseason for our opponents too. Lucky bounces?
They have 3 shitty goals and Jones has stoned us.

This game will mean nothing come October 11th.

No excuse for our so called awesome prospects to not show much of anything though.

To be fair, one would have to watch the preseason games of every other team. There are probably laggards on every team.

You don't become BUFv2 just because you are losing hockey game. This isn't a real issue for the Habs right now.

It is a real possible issue when your team is waiting for a top pick several years in a row. This worked for PIT because they got Crosby and Malkin, EDM because they got McDavid Draisaitl (and they have not won anything yet) Habs don't have that.
