This is a great trade, I’m also pleasantly surprised that our 3rd round pick and next years 1st survived the deadline after going all in like this.

This is the core we have to win with and if they can't, it all needs to be blown up and we'll recoup those picks.

Not really. He’s added these style of players throughout his tenure but I think the issue is he underestimated the need to have more than 1-2 guys that bring that element. And he also thought Clifford/Simmonds would be better than they were.

But Muzzin, Boosh, Foligno are examples of trying to add those elements.
