Joins McCann in that prestigious group.
Would like to see an all-time Paper Leafs only roster. Goaltending looks good to start (Kolzig, Lehner). Dzingel, McCann, Skoula...I know there's more. Anyone?
Nathan Horton - can't remember if he played? Marc Savard or was that a rumour? These paper Leafs ugh.Would like to see an all-time Paper Leafs only roster. Goaltending looks good to start (Kolzig, Lehner). Dzingel, McCann, Skoula...I know there's more. Anyone?
Honestly if you're an NHL/AHL tweener why wouldn't this be your first call looking for a job in free agency.I swear players are 90% more likely to be claimed on waivers if it's a Leaf player
That's their right, but who really cares?Watch SJ turnaround and deal him for a draft pick at the deadline.
Pretty sure no.speaking of which does this change the status of the draft pick going to Arizona by any any chance?
You're better off using that money to top load your roster than carry an extra league min salary player.Symptom of running a short roster. We probably waive more players than anyone else. For several year we've run 21-22 man rosters, while most other teams budget for 23. If management doesn't want to risk losing 14th forwards for nothing, they can always budget accordingly.
You actually think this is a plot rather than them just liking our players?Don't ever, ever, ever let them tell you the rest of the league isn't obsessed with the Leafs.....

Geez, get over yourself. It's not a plot.
It's just that Leafs are on display like no other. And there are more teams that like to stick it to the Leafs than any other team.
Do you really think that list of players there is a list of more valuable players than other teams have waived?
This is not and has not been an issue.Sure, but paying Matthews and Marner 11.5 & 10 instead of 11.64 & 10.9 is the difference between losing almost a dozen guys on waivers. You can still be the most top-heavy team in the league and not lose guys for nothing.

Why waste cap space on players sitting in the pressbox? That would be an obvious sign of poor management. They can't play no matter what happens that game.
