Mikheyev has earned his spot.
I don’t think so , not a playoff performer. Sorry to tell you that .
PK he’s good , that’s it .
Don’t get me wrong I like him , but not in the playoffs. It’s a war out there .
If Matthews and Marner don’t get at least 10 points 1st round leafs out again .
This year we will see if they were made/paid to play in the playoffs,
Liljegren not ready for playoffs, Engval maybe 4th line , that’s where Mikheyev would be good in the playoffs.
Kase ? Kempf ?

Have you watched the video? He gets his head caved in by Maroon.

Honestly, Justin Holl is a better fighter than that... And Justin Holl is not a good fighter.
He at least will stand up for his teammates, nobody else does . Oh Simmonds only

He will be fine.

Very good deal for the Leafs, Dubas did well on this one. Leafs get out of Ritchie contract in a flat cap world for next season, while adding two depth pieces for the playoffs this year incase anyone gets hurt from our main roster all for a 3rd round pick or a 2nd in 2025.

I'm going to assume Dzingel gets waived tomorrow to get back to our cap hit or Lilly (not quite sure the entire mathamatics and whose better to waive for cap reasons), and still leaves us with options to make other deadline moves to bolster our lineup.

He will be gone before the trade deadline .
Need 3 scoring lines to go all the way in the playoffs plus some from the D
Regular season is nothing compared to playoffs , have you been watching hockey long ?
He is a pending UFA so he might be, but it won't be for McCaan. Who also hasn't done anything with in the playoffs.

Maroon is a tough scrapper, losing to him is no sin. The important thing from that video is Babuska dropping the mitts.

Dzingel is an interesting player , grit , tough , fights , gets to the dirty areas , stands up for teammates, can take the pressure off the top line kind of player .
Let’s see how they use him , another Bunting with a chance to play in Toronto. Just saying

Yeah, we have him, so we should give him a chance.

Good trade. Get a couple depth pieces for a guy they weren't playing. It also frees up any commitment for next year.

I actually hope they give Dzingel a shot. I think he could fit in well.

Ok but if that is the standard, we have a bunch of guys who have done the same, and unlike Lyubushkin, they are usually standing up for a teammate.

I doubt Lyubushkin even wanted to fight him. He just gave Maroon a hard shove, which is not unusual in those situations and something the Leafs do all the time, and Maroon ended up wanting to fight. Lyubushkin probably regrets it considering he got crushed.

who on the leafs would fight ? Stand up for teammates?

Yeah, we have him, so we should give him a chance.

Put him in for Simmonds. Add some more speed to that 4th line. Maybe he can add some offense too if he finds a spark with Spezza and Engvall.

Simmonds has been fine, but he is replaceable. His occasional grit is the only somewhat valuable thing he brings to the table at this point.

Unfortunately, Dzingel has been pretty much useless offensively for a few years now... Even for playing on poor teams. Hence why we were able to get him for Ritchie. So we have to hope he can find some of the magic he had from 3 years ago if we really want a player.

Bunting, Spezza, Holl, Muzzin, Simmonds, and Dermott have all done it more often than Lyubushkin has in the past few years.

I've seen Rielly and Matthews do it too, but they are very selective about it. They have more value on the ice than in the box after all.

The Leafs typically reserve fighting for dirty hits, but they have absolutely stood up for teammates when that has happened. They will get into scrums when guys like Maroon do what he did before Lyubushkin fought him. All the time. They stand up for Campbell and Mrazek. Just, once again, they are selective about it. Especially with the unpredictability of the refs.

Against Calgary they missed that game with covid protocol? Leafs looked scared out there .

So is Lyub a #6 d-man or a #7-#8 depth piece in case of injury? Because there's a big difference between a #6 and a 7/8. Is he better then Bogosian?

If Lyub can be a physical net clearing intimidating #6 d-man then this is a major hole fixed even if he's a #6.
