AM was coming in at a bad angle and had little too look at until Demko opened up his legs nice and wide , lol , if Andy let that goal in i'd be reading about it for the next 3 months
 
I think that game bought Petan an extra 3 games in a row in my mind. He was outstanding. I would run that 4th line for a while. Until they have consecutive bad games. They dictated the game while they were on the ice IMO. Happy for all of them. Very well deserved. But especially Petan, this kid has been patient, and he really made the best of his opportunity tonight in my mind

Matthews goes top corner most times .
It has to be hard on goaltenders when he goes 5 hole.
 
I am very impressed with how Thornton, Spezza, and Simmonds have looked so far this season. Great additions. This 4th line tonight was a amazing. They hemmed the Canucks in their zone for long stretches.

Great game all around. Lots of goals, a hattrick, a fight which we won. LOVE IT!

Agreed on Simmonds and Spezza. Not so much on Thornton, I'd rather keep Hyman on that line.
 
Wayne Simmonds is all Canucks fans.

Benning and Nucks ownership is Jordie Benn.

Leafs win (soundly) Habs lose, Leafs lay a beatdown on the Canucks.

I'm sleeping easy tonight :)

Such an interesting NHL season.

Usually I'm looking at all these other games wondering what I want to see happen as far as standings, only to realize the only thing that matters to me is the North Division.

I'm still semi-interested in the rest of the league, but it just doesn't matter until the playoffs start. And even then, I'm assuming the first round or two of the playoffs will be within Divisions? (not sure)

Also, Wayne Simmonds has been pretty great for us so far.

Only guys I'm concerned about are Kerfoot and Mikayev (sp?) one takes too many penalties (many aren't really fair though, but still) and the other looks like Sergei Berezin minus the actual scoring part.

Sorry, just thought I should throw in some negative stuff there haha. Loving the Leafs this year so far. And love having Leafs hockey to make things feel a bit normal.

Go Leafs Go!

The forwards aren't hanging them out to dry like they used to

Looks like Keefe is getting some buyin and everybody is working at both ends of the rink rather than cherry picking for offense

As a life long Leaf fan all I can say is it's a nice change :sarcasm::laugh:

Not to be Debbie Downer... but this was against the Canucks, who the Habs tore apart too. The Canucks just aren't very good right now, so let's not get too excited... but we do need to take them out the next two games by similar fashion.
