The only players under 65xgf% tonight were the Vesey-Kerfoot-Mikheyev line.

87xgf% for Mo should boost his numbers nicely.
This line has been mildly frustrating to watch.

- Kerfoot and his dumb penalties
- Mikheyev's (no)finish
- Vesey.. nuff said.

Overall the team played really well, Spezza hatty was great! I wish Matty should've been given the chance to complete his.

Let's do this again Saturday!

Boyd and Simmonds are the spark plugs the Leafs lacked over the past few seasons.

Petan finally had a game where he is not lost, which is great to see bc he got skills.

Spezza is playing like 2011 instead of 2021.

TJ is our No.1 Dman, he is really calm and can play in all situations.

No need to mention the Big 4 and Reilly as they played well.

Lastly, Andersen just needs to be better than the opposing goalie.

Like it or not, few teams can compare with our offense. We should and will take this division.

Put some respect on the Boys in Blue, or we'll hammer you on the scoreboard.

Go Leafs Go

Petan has put a lot of work into his skating. If he wants to stick in the NHL, he needed to do that.

Good for him. He should get a few more games at the expense of Barabanov.

That was a fun game to watch. Watching the guys on the ice mob Spezza after his third was awesome.

If Dermott just had a charley horse that’s promising, It looked like a tear or something worse.

Just replace vesey with Engvall.

It's kind of ridiculous how many games Vancouver has played already, but I'm pleased Toronto did what they're supposed to do and took advantage of it.

I think they're the better team anyways, but with fatigue presumably being a factor they should be winning minimum 2/3 with a sweep as a realistic expectation.

Im appreciate the team gave my butt a rest from clinching and finally snagged a blowout.

You're getting on a goalie because the best goalscorer in hockey beat him on a breakaway?
beat him on a breakaway ? lol

AM slid a weak shot , if you can call that a shot , right at him and all Demko had to do was stand there with his stick down and it was a easy peasy save

the way he spread his legs to allow the goal you'd think we paid him to throw the game , lol

Best scorer in the league on a breakaway.

C'mon man.

Great game overall. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Canucks played Saturday as well, and since then have had a back to back against the Habs while the leafs relaxed in hot tubs. I expect a closer game on Saturday.

A lot of positives in this game.

The Leafs skilled forwards cut through Vancouver's defense like butter. Marner, Matthews and Nylander were all on point. Spezza looked 10 years younger in tonights game, he too made Vancouvers defense look really bad. His shot is still excellent. Their defense need a lot of work. Mikheyev was all over the ice, he's a horse.

Simmonds layed out Hughes and layed the smackdown on Benn. Hopefully that carries over to next game and there is some bad blood. Probably not though.

Slick move by Brodie on that defensive effort with the secondary recovery with his stick.

c'mon man , weak beer league goalies would have saved that easily

in the close to 5 decades ive been watching hockey this might have been the worst display of goaltending i've ever seen by Demko

Are you serious? Lol Matthews is one of the best goal scorers in the league. He has the opportunity to put the puck wherever he wants on a chance like that. Matthews has so many ways to score in his arsenal and 5 hole is one of them, not all of his goals need to be 90 MPH wristers.

Nah the Canucks will still be dead tired. They are at the end of an hellacious schedule.

This is why it's important that the leafs don't let up and keep pounding them the next 2gms - this is as tired a team as we will face all year. No mercy.

You're trying way, way too hard. Demko robbed matthews more than once tonight.

Time for barabanov to return home tbh.

They will probably find a trade for him similarly to Lindholm.

They might be able to get some forward depth for the Marlies or maybe a 7th.
