Report: Jordan Greenway gets two-year extension from Buffalo Sabres
With the NHL trade deadline looming the Sabres and Greenway agreed to a two-year extension worth approximately $4 million per season.

I don’t think we’re in a position to quabble over a half million in AAV.$4M seems too much. Hoping they are at least close to the AFP figure.
To me too, though I'm probably more glad they kept him on balance. I also don't have expectations they would have otherwise used that cap space wisely, or maybe even more likely, at all.$4M seems too much. Hoping they are at least close to the AFP figure.

I also personally expect a lot of deals going forward to seem like overpays to me based on the rising cap.
We just need a smarter center there to make it all work.If he can stay healthy I'd love to see him get some more minutes with the skill guys. He can create space for the others and seems smart enough to at least gel with them without holding anyone back.
Seems to me like Greenway and McLeod have formed a pretty solid pair when they've played together.....which makes some sense given that their skills are quite complementary. We just need a smarter center there to make it all work.
Well I meant if we want to use him in the top 6. If we use him in the third line, then yes.Seems to me like Greenway and McLeod have formed a pretty solid pair when they've played together.....which makes some sense given that their skills are quite complementary.
for 3 goals in 26 I agree, the problem he is probably their best PK'er and the other intangibles they do not have on the team.$4M seems too much. Hoping they are at least close to the AFP figure

I heard half of greenway's salary will be paid in free range eggs.
