apparently really impressive at camp right now. Flyers VS Caps rookie game just ended and Gost was very noticeably one of the best players in the game. Cannot wait to see how he does in the AHL this season. Love the guy!!!

He was noticeable every shift he was on! Flyers could have a nice crop of D coming with a Ghost, Morin, Hagg, Sanheim, and Alt. Three guys who have the potential to be #1 Dmen.

From my perspective Gostisbehere was by far the best player on the ice today. He is possibly the Flyers best prospect.

Back to the Flyers' prospect, is he playing in the NCAA for another year? Or will he be getting some AHL time?

He left college and signed with the Flyers. He will be in the AHL.

It will be great to see how he does :handclap: ... I think Johnny will be in the AHL too.

It's beneficial for the NCAAers to start in the AHL to get used to the doubled schedule.

I really don't see that comparison. Ghost is a much more aggressive player.

In term of what? Physicality? I employ you to go look at the umberger hit. If your talking offensively then I disagree. Brian Campbell is a very good puck mover

Just because of one hit doesn't make him physical. Campbell isn't a frequent hitter. He had 50 all last year which was good for 167th among defensemen.

Sure if Ghost can put up 40+ points and year and play good defense I'd be ecstatic, but offensively the way ghost plays is much different from Campbell, physicality has nothing to do with it.

I like all of your prospects, but I think you're fanboying too hard.

A lot of players have the potential to be #1 d-men, but they don't always reach that plateau. Ghost, Morin and Sanheim have the potential to be #1 d-men, but most likely they will not reach that level, or at least not all of them will.

I hate the word potential. It's impossible to say how good a human can be. In theory anyone could raise there game to x level

Which is obviously not how the terms "potential", "ceiling", and "floor" are used in the context of hockey players, as they're used to indicate the speaker's perceived realistic approximations of those attributes. I'm sure this doesn't need to actually be explained further and you're just playing devil's semantic advocate.

I understand but I still think that those terms are nonsense and that's proven every year by players out playing what their perceived ceiling/potential was and not achieving what their floor is perceived to be
