Even though he didn't register a point in the two east regional wins over Vermont and Providence, he was still named part of the all tourney team.
Had this great defensive sequence in a pivotal moment in today's game:

One of the best skaters in the nation, is great at stretch passes, and has an absolute bomb from the point. His size will be a concern (5'11 170 lbs or so), but he is extremely talented and has improved his defensive play a ton since he was drafted.
I was at the game last night. Was very impressed with this kid. His lateral skating is amazing. I'm not sure who he compares to, but he looks like a sure-fire NHL player.
Duncan Keith potential.
Personally, he reminds me of Cam Fowler. Kevin Shattenkirk would be another decent comp.
He plays more of a high energy game than both of those guys IMO. More similar to Erik Karlsson or Tobias Enstrom.
Flyers fans may want to be cautious...

Gostisbehere was asked if he might have more financial leverage in leaving now, rather than waiting until after his senior year.
“I guess you could look at it like that,†he said. “But when you graduate, you can pick a different team sometimes, so both ways.â€
He's going to be the Flyers best defenseman in three years.
Ghost was awesome... but he stills needs a lot of work to be a 1 or 2. Not sure if that is achievable.
He definitely needs to improve his slap shot accuracy. In the final, he missed the net over and over.
He definitely came into that game very amped and was shooting the puck harder and more inaccurately than he has all season. Having watching a dozen or so of Union's games this season, his shot is generally much, much more accurate and probably a few MPH lower.
To be a 1 or 2, Ghost definitely needs to improve. No question about that. He's come a long way defensively with his stick work and ability to read plays, but if he wants to even be Duncan Keith-lite, then he needs to consistently be excellent in his own end. Let's remember, Duncan Keith wasn't even Duncan Keith when he first came up, but has continually defined his game at both ends. Who knows whether Ghost can get to that kind of level, but he has a lot of tools that you can't teach.
I was thinking the same during the game (that it was nerves), but I have not seen enough of him. Regardless, he missed the net so many times that it is noteworthy. In the 3rd period he missed the night by about 10 feet and I'm sure he was settled by then.
I'm not trying to burst his bubble at all. I'm a Flyers fan and was thrilled with his OUTSTANDING performance.
