Jesus.... if you give Ken Daneyko 400 tries to say this kid's name right he won't do it once. This is gonna be a true heavyweight battle of Kenny vs the Russian language every night
best case would have been once, as he will come up with at least 400 different variations of the name.

Okhotyuk
Ohtkanutyulk
8 letters and you got 2 right. I give you an extra point for having the 'k' at the end. So 3/8.

That's a solid D grade.

I am really surprised, that a person of your impressive intellectual level, ends up as a Rangers fan. :naughty:
Okhotyuk is an easy one to remember when you break it up.

At a bar you see 3 options:

Ok Hot Yuk

Mukhamadullin is much harder but I broke it down into Muk Ham A Dullin, almost sounds like a Gaelic song.

as a devils fan you are hold to higher standards. you have to deliver name, career stats and the agent's phone number.

so far that's an F for me. :sarcasm:

Daneyko would have trouble with the last name Smith. He saw this name and was like:

Oh boy Steve... I gotta tell ya HAHAHA this kid MUUKAAHMUDALLLIN

Strange pick considering who was left on the board.
Imagine getting Holtz Mercer and Perreault. They would be absolutely stacked up front. Other than that pick , NJ had a great draft and found value later.

I mean, NJ has always won with defense first. You cant expect them to draft 3 forwards in a row:)

All in all, I like this pick. Yes, he has things to work on. But he also has a lot of tools. From watching the interview with him post-draft, it sounds like he is working on all aspects of his game and seems like a very focused kid.

Is he going to be the next Scott Stevens or Scott Niedermayer? No. But I think he can become a good top 4 defenseman in the NHL.

How are they going to fit his name on the back of a jersey???lol

It'll be a tight squeeze, one more character than Vadim Sharifijanov from back in the day.

Edit: I totally blanked on Jamie Langenbrunner having the same amount of letters in his name as well. At least the 6'4 Mukhamadullin will probably be rocking a size 58 jersey which'll have more real estate on the back.

Devils already have Hischier Hughes Bratt and now Holtz and Mercer

They didn't need another forward and the only reason we took Mercer was because he was a major fall IMO, I had him going top-12

trading back wasn't an option nor did Fitzgerald feel he had to anyway - Mukhamadullin was rated highly by as many services as he was rated poorly, so clearly he has upside

So this was the pick that the Canucks gave up for JT Miller?

Vancouver is doing cartwheels right now.

Its quite obvious that NJ panicked and had its eyes on Schneider with the 19th pick until NYR traded up and swag jacked them.

Dont like this pick at all.

Hugo Anefelt with the 71st pick has a bigger chance of making the Canucks regret the Miller trae IMO
