Umm elite prospects is listing this kid at 247 poundshttp://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=228106

Seriously
1. What the hell does this kid eat
2. Would he benefit from losing weight

Apparently not because his skating is pretty damn good still..

247 pounds at 17 years old lol. Rumours saying he's been boating all summer long with Big Buff.

Not sure we can call him a "kid" anymore!

Why do I feel he's gonna be this years Lawson Crouse?

You mean as in being valued for his size / intangibles rather than offensive output?

I haven't followed him very closely but his production seems respectable for someone so young.

Yeah sorta. I meant more along the lines of you're gonna have a large group of people saying the experts have him projected too high to some reason or another while a smaller portion of fans will defend the projection because of one of his favorable traits (in this case his superior skating will be his defense like Crouse's two way game was his.)

Id say he's more likely to be this years kylington. All tools no tool box projection but I haven't seem enough to make that assumption just going by previous rankings and the recent "warts".

He was around 217 his first year and 229 last year, I haven't seen something like this in a while from a noteworthy prospect. I thought Ritchie was abnormally big.....

Expecting a big year from him.
I can definitely see it. He got a lot of hype early with the exceptional status, then didn't dominate right away, so I think some people slid the other way and started giving up on him too early. He has great size, is an excellent skater, is starting to get more physical, and has lots of offensive potential. Still needs plenty of polish to both his offensive and defensive game, but he's young. The star potential is definitely there, hope to see some of it materialize this year.

Didn't notice him all that much from what I saw of U18 red/white games but that could always been turned into a good thing as a defenseman.

In my 80+ viewings of him everything is true from what previous posters have said. His skating is elite no doubt, he's big and strong no doubt. Does he have to find a way to utilize his teammates more, absolutely.

If he's a Steelhead or traded I wish Sean a great year. If a good year does materialize I'm going on the hunch he could be the 2nd dman taken next June. After Chychrun.

some reports for the draft have him out of the top 10 and even out of top 20
I think they are being overly critical
I expect a big year
