Why do I feel he's gonna be this years Lawson Crouse?
You mean as in being valued for his size / intangibles rather than offensive output?
I haven't followed him very closely but his production seems respectable for someone so young.
I can definitely see it. He got a lot of hype early with the exceptional status, then didn't dominate right away, so I think some people slid the other way and started giving up on him too early. He has great size, is an excellent skater, is starting to get more physical, and has lots of offensive potential. Still needs plenty of polish to both his offensive and defensive game, but he's young. The star potential is definitely there, hope to see some of it materialize this year.Expecting a big year from him.
