The way he makes shooting lanes is ridiculous.
This added with his almost nonchalantness and creativity makes him so special. This is what makes him extra special in my opinion. He's a great skater and a great passer of the puck, can skate it out of the zone. The extra dimension that so few other players have is that he can create scoring chances out of point situations with his superb agility, just walk past the forward and get into a better shooting position. You know the moves can come but there is still no way to stop it because he can go in any direction with such ease.
Have to question some of the "Men" D in that league. He's very creative, but there are no D or any that last long in the NHL that would get beat like those pylons.I know he's walked on water but has he mastered turning it into wine yet?![]()

I mean, I've seen him beat Sebastian Aho, Andreas Borgman, Chabot of the top of my head. There's more though. But to be fair, 2 of them are in the AHL right now but should be in the NHL very soon. but we'll see how long careers they have, lol.Have to question some of the "Men" D in that league. I don't think you have been reading up a lot in this thread (or the earlier one) if you think everyone is on the same wavelength here. A lot of "Defensemen are hard to predict" posts and comparisons have been made both in these two threads and others around the board. And it has also been disproven that people (people who mattered in the hockey community) valued Eichel higher in the D-1 year IIRC.I have been watching Frölunda occassionaly this season, and while Dahlin has generally speaking been amazing I get a little bit weary of the lack of devils advocates. Maybe I am paranoid, but this worries me. Reminds me of the old Benjamin Franklin quote; "if we are all thinking alike, noone is thinking". Hell, even with McDavid there were people that held Eichel in higher regard.
So, considering that we are talking about a 17-year old kid, what is the worst case scenario? John Klingberg? David Rundblad?
Disagree i saw him on the PP and made smart passesHad a pretty rough game so far in my opinion. Some poor decisions with the puck and he also couldn't quite control the puck like he'd have liked.
Mostly talking about his own zone here. He had several giveaways and struggled with having little time vs forecheck.Disagree i saw him on the PP and made smart passes
I doubt he could fall off #1OA with this and that's not even what I was suggesting. It'd help if you read my posts and didn't argue against imaginary shadows.Well he is 17 and playing on national team and scored a point. Wont hurt his draft stock.

Like Matthews has done?I know he's walked on water but has he mastered turning it into wine yet?![]()
