No doubt he was better than either of them at the same age otherwise both would have gone much higher in their respective draft. He's great and it's fun to think what he can be if he continues to develop. If he flatlines he'll still be a very good NHLer but if he continues to trend up and improve he has the potential to be as good as EK15/NL5

Look man, I know you're looking for slights, but it's literally just the position he plays. Infinitely more hyped defensemen bust than do centers. It just makes people a little shy about projecting them.

Still a LHD. Handedness is somewhat important for Dman. Not as much for wingers, but still somewhat, and it's importance for centers is very limited though. Obviously almost no impact on goaltending minus occasional strategies.

He's pretty much the only one claiming that. I only see Svechnikov possibly competing with him, but so far Dahlin is way ahead.
