Still not even nearly as funny as your angst against all Nordic players not named William Nylander. :)
Show me where I said anything bad about Dahlin other than make a joke about his hype (which is justified considering everyone is saying the only player they'd trade the pick for is McD.)

Turnover after turnover. Maybe he is nervous or something but he looks really bad. Well Sweden is looking bad also.

Losing the puck today in bad places, but still pretty fun to see 17-18y D-prospects playing at the mens national team level.

TV crew talking about how he still plays a junior style game.

Yeah not playing too well right now. Well it's to be expected from a 17 year old, but kind of hoped for more with all of the hype about being generational and better than McDavid.

It's just not him it's the entire team playing awful. If it would have been any different he would have been the standout, difficult for a 17 year old rookie

Many of his bad plays can't be put on the team. He's just losing battles/losing pucks on his own.

Doesn't affect my overall view on him though.

McDavid didn't even play with the mens national team when he was 17.

It's good to remember that it's his first time to play international hockey vs men.
Actually this is his 3rd mens national team game IIRC. Played 2 games last year as a 16 year old.

I was definitely a bit dissappointed in his play against Finland, but on the other hand it was really just one game. And the truth is that Finland was pretty good in that game, and made the game difficult for much more experienced Swedes too.

The game didn’t change my opinion on Dahlin being the best prospect since McDavid. Although I might see Miro Heiskanen pretty close to him as a defenseman prospect. Not right there, but maybe not as far as a talent as many people might still think. Well, only time will tell eventually how it really is. But anyway Dahlin is an amazing talent!

overhyped

Dahlin is overhyped. Yes he is good. But the Swedes are making sure he goes #1. National team? Play against your own age at Hlinka. If you want a comparison play there.

Except McDavid was a better prospect than Matthews, Eichel and Laine, who all played very well for their men's national team in their draft year if you want to go down that road. Dahlin's a great prospect, but McDavid never played for his national team in his draft year because he was never free to (Erie went too far in the CHL playoffs).

I'm well aware, like literally.
I used it as in more of a way to dismiss the fact that the guy used a 1 game sample size of Dahlin with the men's national team to try to critize him. Obviously he's allowed to critize but i guess ill just suggest him to watch more than 1 game of Dahlin then, lol.
So therefor i stated the obvious, I never wrote that in a way saying "Dahlin>>>>McDavid".
