After watching him play the last two games I think he's got the potential to stay in the nhl, he still looks uncomfortable playing here in North America though.

So the 2nd game in the row his TOI is 20+ min, and his +/- is 0, while Vancouver is 1-10 in the same games. And that only point was scored after his assist.

He has an amazing reach and a very active stick. Positionally he's been pretty sound and hasn't made too many mistakes. He's had a couple of giveaways but nothing major. He's a lot less physical than I hoped for in terms of body checks but maybe he's still adjusting to that part of the game. He seems to assert himself in front of the net and in the corners physically though, he won't be pushed around.

He's looked fairly calm and smooth, very impressive so far.

He has been surpisingly good for us. Should fit in nicely into our bottom pairing.

His stick checking is probably the best on the team, he always seems to knock the puck off the opponents stick. He is also willing to block shots, he wins a lot of puck battles in the corners, and he has shown signs of having at least average offensive awareness

So he doesn't look out of place in the NHL. Those Ducks looked like wolfs around a bear tonight. And he can be mean as well. Russian hockey expert Gimaev said earlier this season, that Tryamkin could be the best thing that would happen to Russia's NT defense pretty soon, and now I see what he meant.

Absolutely loving him so far. He's been way better then I thought he would be. With some summer conditioning he should be a lock to be in the top 6 next year.

Best part about him is he is really eager to learn.

Tryamkin, Hutton and Baertschi the best parts of this dreary season.

Wow!....guy just pancaked three or four Ducks in that game....hard to believe he's still only 21....he's going to be a scary dude in two or three more years, particularly when he gets up to speed with NHL conditioning.

Pretty much came as advertised. Solid defensively (probably better here on smaller ice too) with good skating but limited offensive upside. Really good pick for the Canucks in the 4th round.

Tryamkin is a 3rd round pick. I don't think he is the next Chara but I think he can be a very good middle pairing defenseman.

He actually has a pretty good shot, so offense can come later. Chara in his 23-24 yo season scored 9 points in 82 games and was -27.

His first pass doesn't look to be good at the moment, so many icings vs Anaheim. I like his positional game though.

I think we snagged him in the 3rd round but yeah, its a nice late round pick up. :handclap:

We also got Edler in the 3rd round.

He kind of feels like a 'free' top end NHL prospect. We had to wait a couple years for him to come over (which we may have done here in NA with him playing in the AHL)...while it's still really early, he looks to be a legit #2 - #5 prospect, with an outside shot at being a #1.

Hopefully he stays in Vancouver all summer or at least comes back after a month so he can train to get into NHL shape. Will also help his English and getting accustomed to the culture. Vancouver Is an unbeatable place to live between April - October
