This was from the same game.

One game doesn't decide which prospect is better no matter what happened in it. Not that I have a strong opinion about who of Zadorov and Tryamkin is better, I generally hope some Russian defensemen break out so our D stops being so lackluster at international level.

I hope he continues to develop and doesn't stall like other big dudes on the blueline have done in the past. His size is such a bonus but he's just a good hockey player. If anything, I hope he becomes more physical.

He has easily jumped ahead of every prospect on the Canucks roster and actually looks like the real deal. Really Impressed with this kid, definitely has top defender potential. He can do literally do everything. Just hope, he doesn't end up like Ohlund(eye) and Edler(Back) with the Canuck's luck.

You have to wonder, if having guys like Hamhuis around helped with Tanev's development, and now it's going around spreading throughout the defense. Guys are being responsible and from a team that looked hopeless, now you're looking at the Defense as a huge positive. Their defensive game has been really good.

Even, if Tyramkin doesn't develop further, he's still a legitimate top 4. There's obvious things he needs to improve on, but mostly it's small things like discipline and maybe that has to do with the fact that his english isn't that good yet but the passion is definitely there. You don't show up to camp overweight and be this good this fast, if he isn't putting in the effort. You literally see him in the penalty with his cross necklace in his hand, kissing it and praying.

Very entertaining kid. Should be a cornerstone piece to come. While, guys are high on Stretcher. Stretcher has limitations on what he will become. The Sky is the limit for Tyramkin. I'm usually really harsh on Canuck's prospects but i think we got a keeper here.

Amazed at the speed for such a big guy. IMO playing on the big ice for so many years has helped him, now coming to the small ice he looks like a rat in a cage.

A rat in a cage full of mice, I'm looking at you Johnny Hockey, Patrick Kane et al.

To be honest, I did not expect this kid to look as good as he has in the NHL. He's got a way higher ceiling than I realized.

I thought he was great last night. Very physical and his skating + size combo made it tough on the Sharks forwards.

I don't know if anyone does shift-by-shift game highlights for Tryamkin, but I think last nights game would be a good one for that.

One of best stories for the Canucks in an otherwise bleak season...A 22-year Russian kid, 6'7" and 265, who can skate and hit like that....sky's the limit....people compare him to Chara, but he's a far better skater imo.

Also had a great leadership qualities, he's going to be a top 2 defenceman.

Showed up at camp fat and out of shape.
Refused a conditioning stint in the AHL, and thought about bailing on the team because of it.
Bails on the team after all, because he doesn't feel his 16 minutes of ice as rookie was adequate (even though that coach was fired).

A 'great leader' is very subjective.

What leadership qualities did you like from him?

He has shown the ability to remove himself from destructive organizations.

Well I guess we will have to make due with non-Leaders like Horvat and Boesser to take up the slack left by such a stellar personality. Too bad I was really stoked after watching him this season. When I went to games I would watch him throughout his shift. I was really impressed. Oh well, we just can't have nice things.
