For a guy that's been roasted by media and fans alike, Benning sure has killed it in the last few drafts. Boeser and Demko look like potential franchise cornerstones, McCann was a big steal and Tryamkin looks like a real diamond in the rough.

This guy could be a beast, once he gets in shape and figures out the NA game.

Makes you wish he'd keep more picks...

When a 6'7 250lbs defenceman skates like the wind:

He is trending in the right direction, he's going to be a staple in the top 4 as he continues to develop. He is also averaging 2.4 hits per game makes him top 3 with players that have played approximately 30 games.

He beat a guy fore-checking at the end of his shift, and another guy standing still on the red-line. And then he finished up by ruining a 3 on 2 by taking a big, dumb slap-shot.

Tryamkin looks like a Christoph Schubert clone, which isn't a bad thing.

I'd be more concerned about his attitude problems (ie. showing up fat).

He has zero attitude problems, players love him, coaches love him, and he is absorbing everything around him. He's going to be an offensive producer once he starts gaining more confidence and is used on the PP.

Here's another play where he makes a no look pass to create an offensive opportunity while fending of a checker.

Probably haven't seen Tryamkin play then. Schubert doesn't even come close to
Tryamkin's physical presence. Just a hit crunched Richardson. Manhandles players along the boards and in front of the net.

The offense is bonus, if he chips in with 25-30 pts, that will be a very good top 4 dman.

You obviously never watched Schubert. He was the best hitter on Ottawa.

I was suprised that he was a decent #5/6 late last season. Then he got married and fat in the offseason and from what i heard a TERRIBAD training camp/preaseaon. Then Willie benched him to start the season for like 15 games and since he got thrown in hes been doing very well. Infact hes progressing VERY well with every game. Its kinda really nice as a Canucks fan to see this happening. Where does the progression stop with him? Hes getting better offensively skating hitting using his size clearing the net etc. like really where does it end with this MONSTER

Then add in the Stech doing so well and we got some unexpected suprises this year on the backend. Actually Sbisa is playing his best hockey EVER too. Mama meea what a world :scared:

Some more Tryamkin GIFs, he's becoming quite a player, his potential is limitless. I have no doubt he can develop into a #1 defenceman once he learns to harness his shot and starts producing offensively. He's only 22 years old but he looks like a 10 year vet.

Tryamkin Smash

His strength is off the charts, he swats players like flies:

Tryamkin made the one all-important choice to stay in Russia until he is at least 20. If he had not done that he would be now buried somewhere in the AHL/ECHL.

I guess it's safe to say that Tryamkin has bypassed Nikita Zadorov by now.

Both are big Russian defensemen and they are the same age. Zadorov was considered a future star defenseman in Russia while he played in CSKA, while nobody had never heard of Tryamkin. Tryamkin stayed in Russia while Zadorov went to the CHL.

Right now Zadorov, who had a lot more talent than Tryamkin, is the worse player of the two.

Tryamkin has been great but I'm just wondering if he can still elevate his game at 22 years old.

Of course he can. Defensemen don't typically come into their own until their mid-20s and beyond. Tryamkin is getting better and better ever game, so there's no reason to think he's suddenly going to hit a wall.

Tryamkin is freakish....a guy 6'7" and 250 who can skate like that....if he ever figures out the offensive side of the game, look out....even though he's 22, still only scratching the surface of his potential imo.

He needs PP time. Either screening the goalie or blasting clap bombs. He's turning into a monster. Been racking up crushing hits without taking penalties.
