How so? Clearly most non-habs fans agree with my assessment and even jfhabs is now backtracking on his claims that Hutson is a Makar level prospect.
Pretty sure he said Hutson had a better D+1 season compared to Makar. Which is hard to argue with tbh.

Doesn’t mean he’ll be as successful in the NHL obviously. Development isn’t linear and the tools aren’t the same.

Someone else said that... lomiller1 is just trolling, he clearly didn't watch Hutson in the NCAA this year

Hutson clearly has issues in his own end due to lack of strength and poor backwards skating.

Makar, to those that watched him in his Freshman year, wasn't Makar, that's why he opted to go back for his Sophomore season and then he dominated the league but he has the speed, skating that Hutson can only dream of so hard to compare the 2 until Hutson improves his speed, skating, strength, mass issues.

The exciting thing for Hab fans is if Hutson can continue to progress over the next few years, then look out.

This kid is special. He is extremely smart.

He uses head and shoulder fakes to shift the opposition players momentum in their body and then explodes the opposite direction with rapid acceleration and agility. He is making these decisions at rapid speed with high success.

Great hand eye coordination. Calm in big situations. Gets pucks through to the net. He is what you are looking for at the NHL level today. He just has to keep working and growing as a player to reach that level. A+ so far for him.

I like the player but being that size and lacking truly elite skating will be interesting to watch in the future. He will have to overcome that. Still love his upside.
