No it was not intentional i just forgot him.Newhook?
Intentional omission? I think he might get squeezed out at some point.

I disagree. Lately I've noticed he's been flying, which is why I went on NHL edge. They're objective measurements, it doesn't rely on the eye test, but on the actual numbers. Not only do they say he's fast, but they also say he's actually elite.
not many players get to carry the puck the length of the ice, so he gets to pick up speed on a much more regular basis than most. he also keeps his range of motion pretty tight, in that he doesn't steer east-west too much when he goes up the ice. his rushes are contained to tighter spaces because of his quick hands and headfakes. This doesn’t make sense to me. Lane Hutson isn’t that fast a skater. He’s great at turning on a dime but he’s not what I’d call fast.
He's making me realize that no Habs were even close to being good since Kovalev.
I've seen him lose quite a few footraces. Now that we have recorded measurements like this, we don't have to rely on the eye test anymore. Subjective opinions aren't required when we data that demonstrates that he is indeed fast.
Carey PriceI prefer Suzuki over kovy (Habs). Sure kovy when he's on was top 10 in the league easy. But I'll take the guy who shows up almost all the time, plays a complete game and is easy to play with
Leafs fan, he can't help himself.

I'm not saying the guy's slow but I wouldn't call him fast either. I'd say he's really, really shifty on his skates.
It's the most outstanding and mind boggling aspect of this player's debut in the NHL.Lane plays more than all of them at EV? Wow.
I wouldn’t have thought that without digging in, that’s impressive.
Exactly; there's a great deal of equivocation going on when discussing his skating and defining it as "good" or "poor" in quality. There are certain aspects to his skating that are exceptional, and others, like acceleration, it seems, that are average at best.I've seen him lose quite a few footraces.

A guy who’s 6’4 is going to have bigger strides than a smaller player. It’s just physics providing an advantage.Exactly; there's a great deal of equivocation going on when discussing his skating and defining it as "good" or "poor" in quality. The numbers speaks by themselves buddy, stop denying he's an above avg skater. This doesn’t make sense to me. Lane Hutson isn’t that fast a skater. He’s great at turning on a dime but he’s not what I’d call fast.

But I heard he was a gadget player...
Cool stat, unfortunately he sucks still
I think he's an awesome skater. Speed wise I don't think he's as fast as he's being made out to be. Those numbers just don't jive with what I've seen. The numbers speaks by themselves buddy, stop denying he's an above avg skater.
Who said that? I believe you, and I want namesBut I heard he was a gadget player...
No offense, but "what you've seen" doesn't really mean anything. He might not be the fastest straight line player in the league, but he's obviously not slow either, and has more bursts of speed than the vast majority of NHL defensemen.I think he's an awesome skater. More like Mr. GadgetBut I heard he was a gadget player...
It’s that IQ , he’s able to adapt and implement changes very very quickly.I'm mostly impressed with how quickly he's adapted his game. After his start, I think he struggled a bit given how the other team's forecheckers were able to contain him a bit. They are back to struggling against him now.
Wasn’t it Snake Boisvert?Who said that? I believe you, and I want names
