Well, it looks like Lane got his goal, 1-1.

Here's a few more angles of his deke

Ciboire....the first angle

It's like shinny at the outdoor rink against a 7 year old.

That’s fine and dandy in the NCAA but if he’s stationary like that in the NHL he’s going to get obliterated. I’m sure he knows.

Yeah because most GMs are stupid. Like the GMs who took guys like turcotte, broberg, podkolzin, soderstrom, before caufield.

Lane’s brother is nowhere near as good as he is.

Yes, their best prospect.

Lane can't defend at all.......he is not even a remote option to play in the NHL until he drastically improves. Only silly fans have him ahead of Reinbacher and Guhle.

Cole Hutson is nothing compared to Lane.

Forget prospect. it would have to be a proven 1st line forward.

Cole has produced similarly to his brother up until this season and is a better skater as well as being stronger on his skates so to say that there is no comparison is nothing short of ridiculous. He is universally ranked as a top 15 prospect whereas Lane was never ranked nearly as high, perhaps Lane's success has something to do with that but there is still a huge gap in how they are perceived at the same age.

Nobody is giving up a legitimate NHL 1st liner for Lane Hutson lol. I doubt anyone is willing to give up a top forward prospect for him either but if they were I would absolutely consider it.

Good.

We keep our own elite talent.

No matter how you twist everything, he has in fact more elite skills and brain. He is the most naturally skilled and talented.

Cole is ranked high, exactly because of Lane's success, if it wasn't for Lane, he would probably be ranked much lower.

Nobody is twisting anything. He has serious skating, strength and defensive deficiencies that other young D like Reinbacher and Guhle do not have and both project to play higher in the lineup than he does.

You conveniently ignore all of his weaknesses that might keep him from ever being anything more than a one dimensional specialist and choose to only present his strengths which admittedly are very exciting but we don't even know if they will translate to the NHL.

Nobody at the highest level would agree with you and you cherry picking their mistakes tn a fallacious attempt to counter this fact is disingenuous at best.

I am not interested in trading him for anything less than a high end forward prospect as I absolutely can see him being a difference maker in the NHL if he continues to improve on his weaknesses but I would entertain the thought of trading him before he potentially fades as we are not in need of LHD prospects.

It's incredible how desperate you are for the future hard on you're looking for from 'being right he didn't make it'

When it's so obvious he will

You say remote lol and then there's guys like Hughes and Karlsson carving out nhl careers at perennially -30

fallacial

I think the word you are always looking for with this is 'false'

Either that, or the word you're thinking of is 'Phallic'

Hutson felt good enough for his return, good enough to get a goal and two assists.

BUM!

It's incredible how obtuse fanboys are when they hear things that they don't like.

I have said ad nauseam that I like Hutson and believe that he will play in the NHL but he has serious warts. This is just the truth and if you feel triggered by things that you don't want to be true being said aloud then only read the posts of those that you agree with.

Hughes and Karlsson were much better defenders at the same age because they were much better skaters than Hutson.

Typical of fan driven hyperbolic bias you grossly exaggerate the +/- claim as Karlsson reached -30 once and Hughes never has. Karlsson has been a plus player 4 times and Hughes is well on his way to his 3rd consecutive plus season. Never mind the fact that only those with zero credibility ever bring +/- into these conversations to begin with but I was forced to sling the same turds that you chose as your weapon of choice lol.

Do you actually believe that he is untradeable and does not have serious flaws? Is this why he wasn't even a consideration to leave college from both Montreal's and Lane's perspective? If he was the super prospect some of you made him out to be then there would have been serious debate about him not only leaving college but challenging for a roster spot in Montreal. Why is that? Is that because he doesn't believe in himself or HuGo don't believe that he is a good prospect? Of course not and they all have the same concerns as I do including Lane himself but does that make them haters lol? Afford me the same respect for bringing up the obvious issues that they themselves recognize.

So, continue to ignore all of the great things that I have said about Lane and continue to force me to bring up the negative things by attacking me with your blinded bias. I see far more positive in Lane than negative but nobody is looking to argue the positive.
