Not a good enough defender or all-round player yet for top 3. Top 10 was ok.

Farrel had a better all-around season.

But yes I would have Hutson ahead of Knies, easily.
Yeah. I don’t agree.

Hutson is the driving force of BU. The kid is 18 and plays over 25 minutes every night, in all situations, when they are defending a lead or down a goal.

Basically became BU #1 dman in half a season. If that’s not being a good enough defenceman… wonder what is.

I get that. But that doesn't mean there were no other worthy guys besides Knies who could have made the top 3.

Luke Hughes is certainly a better all-round defenceman, while putting up almost identical points to Hughes, and both Collin Graf and Jimmy Snuggerud had amazing stats up front. Jason Polin led the NCAA with 30 goals.

Meanwhile Farrell had more ppg than Cooley and killed penalties too.

I don't give extra points for how few nor how many years they have played in the NCAA.

My top 10 in order would be:

Fantilli
Hughes
Farrell
Cooley
Perets
Graf
Snuggerud
Polin
Hutson
McAllister

Boston was a joke last year until Hutson came along, and now top 4 team. Hutson is younger than all the other candidates, sets records, beats out Makar stats while being 1 year younger too.

Im sorry this is a f***in joke and travesty. Fantilli and Hutson either one I would be fine with winning. The rest are a big gap. KNIES a massive/gigantic gap from those two.

Levi was probably, the league MVP and he's not in your top 10? 🤔

Levi was better imo, he's in a much tougher conference.

Hutson could easily have been in the top 3, he 100% deserves it but so does several others as it was a great year for the Freshman class with Cooley, Snuggerud, Hutson and Fantilli. Hard to argue against any of them as all very highly impressive and for some historic.

Polin led the league in goals so clearly that's going to get a lot of votes, McAllister was leading the NCAA in points from the start but he didn't have as good a 2nd half so he wouldn't get in the top 3 but should be in the top 10 for sure.

I would have picked Farrell over Hutson, it's not his fault that the Ivy league play less games so his ppg would put him 2nd OA in points over Cooley. Hughes is a stud imo and while Hutson's season was clearly better as he drove his team while Hughes had Fantilli, Mackie, etc..

Matthew Knies is underatted, he could potentially help the Laffs out of the quagmire and help them win a series since a few decades. That would be big. It's probably not going to happen but whatever.

Luke Hughes has one tiny point less than Lane Hutson, and a more complete game. Why shouldn't he be in the conversation? Cooley as well, and Snuggerud. And Farrell might be better than almost all of them, with the 2nd most ppg in the NCAA while also playing very solidly both ways and killing penalties.
