Don’t forget Cole’s goals…
trying not to hold on to that 30% sh% because it'll break my heart eventually, i'll focus on HutsonDon’t forget Cole’s goals…
Of course he won’t be 30 percent. He’s not going to 80 goals.trying not to hold on to that 30% sh% because it'll break my heart eventually, i'll focus on Hutson
People forget that while his s% is unsustainable his goal pace also is (74 goals pace). This is what you want to see. Even if you halve his s% he would still score 37 goals. It's Different than Paul Byron who scored 23 goals with an unsustainable s%. Since he had only 23 goals we knew once his s% would be back to normal that he would be back to 15 goals max.Of course he won’t be 30 percent. He’s not going to 80 goals.
But he might score 50!

Imaging watching this team without Hutson in the lineup. He's the only making this team exciting.
honestly add struble in there tooI find Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Guhle and Slafkovsky exciting.. and there's the glimpses of things from Heineman, Kapanen that make things fun, too.
Well Slaf and Demidov aren't winning anything without other top 6 forwards and a good D core + G , takes a village , something we haven't had in a long long time. Not to mention its gonna take another top 6 center. Caufield is fine we should be happy to have him. Maybe Demidov can play CSorry but you dont win cups with players like Caufield on your 1st line. He's going to end up as a 2nd line sniper that will score if he plays with 2 good linemates. Slaf and Demidov are the players that will bring you a cup
Even if you have his shooting %, it would still be deemed high.People forget that while his s% is unsustainable his goal pace also is (74 goals pace). This is what you want to see. Yeah but 15% is definitely sustainable. There's around 60 players players who sustained a career 15% s% since 1993 (minimum 200 games). 20% is not though. 0 players sustained a career 20% s% since 1993 (minimum 200 games).Even if you have his shooting %, it would still be deemed high.
Not at all.Even if you have his shooting %, it would still be deemed high.

It seems to be working with him on PP 2. Gives us a threat for the other line. I don’t mind it.The best PP QB on the Habs is Hutson, it's probably gonna be yet another crappy year but at least put him on PP1.
AgreedI find Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Guhle and Slafkovsky exciting.. and there's the glimpses of things from Heineman, Kapanen that make things fun, too.
Please show me which past cup champions team in the last 20 years had a guy like caufield as a sniper? Caufield is a complement to a 2nd line, he cant win 1v1 battles and in playoffs he will have even less time than now.Caufield isn’t proven yet. But I think he establishes himself this year as a premier scorer. And yes, absolutely you win cups with those kinds of players. In fact it’s hard to win without those kinds of players.
It takes a mix of players. And judging by how things are going, we’re going to wind up with lines 1A and 1B.
At the end of the day, you need to score to win. Demidov isn’t even in the league yet and Caufield hasn’t been healthy enough over a season to show what he can do. But if Caufield is scoring at a 50 goal rate, that’s absolutely a guy who qualifies for the first line. If you have choices like Dmeidov and Slaf then it simply becomes a game of mixing and matching. They may put Slaf with Cc for size reasons for example but maybe they’re centered by Dach or Hage…
The nice part is that Hutson can play with ALL those guys and help the entire lineup.
I didn't watch a whole lot of Hutson in the NCAA...but based on everything I read, I thought he was going to be terrible defensively.2 assists and some unreal defensive plays, even against guys like PLD who are substantially bigger and stronger.
He's an absolute stud.
Good point! He's the guy that gets scored the least on it seems, all that while playing with a 9th D in the NHL Savard. Imagine this guys ceiling if we can develop reinbacher into a pietrangelo to play with him.I didn't watch a whole lot of Hutson in the NCAA...but based on everything I read, I thought he was going to be terrible defensively.
He's anything but...yes, he'll lose some physical confrontations, but he's so smart on the ice and understands leverage and body positioning at a high level.
His defensive instincts, on this team, right now, are second to none.
He's not the most defensive player for sure, but the thing he has, is compete...I didn't watch a whole lot of Hutson in the NCAA...but based on everything I read, I thought he was going to be terrible defensively.
