This thread should have been locked already wtf lol

Nah. Let it stand as a memorial for any fan base that thinks they can get players interested in coming home ”for free” or for a massive trade compensation discount “due to leverage”.

I know I won’t forget the users who pushed that agenda for over a year and I will constantly remind them if I run across them in future threads.

I don’t disagree with you. A shame that Hab fans wasted all that time and energy this past year making ridiculous proposals that were rightfully shot down.
The franco media fell for the agents comment..............and some habs fans swallowed the comments hook line and sinker.
There were many many habs fans who laughed at all that foolishness, and at the end of the day did not want assets given to entice him to go to Montreal.
Habs will continue to work on their rebuild and will develop their own 55-60 pt players......not really a big deal at all.

July 1st, 2066: PLD signs a 1-year deal so he can retire as a Hab.

When asked by a reporter about what it's like to "come home", Pierre-Luc commented "Huh? Who are you and where's my nurse? Jeopardy's about to start."

And hopefully if you do you will be reported for derailing a thread.

I understand that some posters will cry for the mods rather than have accountability for truly ridiculous takes for over a year.

I see where you stand in all of this. :)
No the point is that you keep the whining over nothing to threads about Dubois.

You make it seem like the Habs were barely interested. Funny how that idiot LeBrun‘s inside knowledge ran out when Hughes realized he didnt have the currency to get the trade done. Hughes wanted PLD bad And was hyping up the fan base for the good ole Quebec boy to come home but unfortunately he failed the fan base.

Failed the fanbase?

There was a poll on the Habs Board and an overwhelming majority *did not* want the Canadiens to trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois so what you are saying is utter nonsense.

The vast majority of Canadiens fans were *only* interested in Dubois if he reached unrestricted free agency.

Don't mistake a handful of dough-headed Canadiens fans that pollute the main roads with their dim-witted musings as some kind of representation of the fanbase as a whole.

A trade for Dubois was not a popular notion among the fans at all.

I mean it was popular enough for a dedicated PLD thread on the habs board to hit 10k posts

And if you read that thread - and I would highly encourage you not to - its essentially the same small handful of posters claiming the PLD is coming home and will be a saviour while a legion of fans say they don't want him unless it's as an Unrestricted Free Agent.

That is literally the thread that begins with the poll that shows an overwhelming percentage of the fans did not want to trade for him.

The ultimate HF poll.

Like there is no hockey talk on other mediums at all.
No the majority of Habs fans did not want PLD and the poll @ HF showed it. Haha

Correction: there was some interest…but for cheap or futures according to that one shameless dud around here.

At the end the Jets received a Kings ransom for him.

It was the same few people commenting in them arguing with anyone who didn’t want the habs to trade for him.

The same phenomenon is happening right now in the thread about the Canadiens offer-sheeting Alexis Lafreniere.

One fan is suggesting this as an idea and I haven't seen a single Canadiens fan agreeing with the notion, but the thread is growing and growing as that one fan argues that its worth doing and sure enough other fan bases are talking about his idea as if it represents the collective of the entire fanbase even though literally nobody thinks its a good idea.

We love JR. He's obviously not a fan of PLD.

he's not wrong, but if JR is against Dubois than it makes me like the move or at least route for the move. f*** JR.

Yeah, sure. That's why there are 10s of thousands of posts for a guy no one wanted. Makes total sense.
