The Kings have one right handed forward remaining on the roster (Arvidsson), not including any potential rookies who are certainly not a sure thing. Just an example of Blake’s awful roster construction.
Neither.Quebecers,
Who would you rather have right now
A) PLD
or
B)Alex Newhook
?
the key is Gabriel Vilardi and the 2nd. Jets traded for two RFA;s and one is looking for a big pay bumpWow, Jets did really well here considering they lacked some leverage.
That’s why I would have preferred Elias Lindholm. The Kings have one right handed forward remaining on the roster (Arvidsson), not including any potential rookies who are certainly not a sure thing. Just an example of Blake’s awful roster construction.
dude has given up on two teams now. Hes not a player you want on a long term deal for any sort of big money.I’m curious if the LA lifestyle will effect PLDs already low work ethic. This trade all depends on how Villardi and Dubois play for their new teams. Iafollo is a dime a dozen bitten sicker but Kuoari has some potential.
It's a terrible deal for LA. Just wait until Valardi puts up 80pts a year playing 82 games with Kyle Connor (who is a better player than Fiala, who PLD will likely play with)Absolute meltdown on the Kings board. I’m one of them. Hate this deal.
Jets made out very very well...............This seems like a terrible trade for the King's but I have never liked PLD - guys goes missing for seasons.
Seems like a big win for the Jets considering the lack of leverage.
what does the G column represent?Try to keep the info below private
Iafallo alone is better than PLD, Vilardi is tons better.
Look at the G column, that's ranking of forwards in NHL for 2023.
You be the judge.

Dubois will easily get 70 + mpre points while Newhook will finish on a 3rd line with 35 points and no physical impact.Neither.
I like Dubois but he is a 7.5M player at best. Here, he is getting overpaid, on top of all the red flags about his attitude.
I'm going to keep an open mind on Newhook. I don't doubt that a change of coach could work out. But I'd rather use the 31st and 37th pick.
Dubois' attitude is fine. He's become the scapegoat but there's been a mass exodus from Winnipeg including their former coach and captain and Columbus was a long time ago and it's Columbus.
He's chosen his destination, I think he's going to be more excited to play there than he has anywhere he's played.
People are calling this a win for Winnipeg.
Quality>quantity imo.
I'm not seeing anything great that Winnipeg got in return.
He's big. He can lean on you in the playoffs, so they're banking on that sort of impact that he had in the bubble vs Toronto. He's just not usually that player. They better hope they can further develop his game - but playing under Bowness didn't turn him into a genuine two way player.Don't understand the fuss around PLD. Seems like a very meh 2C.
