Hoping Samberg isn't going the other way **fingers crossed**
I don't see either Samberg or Heinola being included. If there is a D going back it'll likley be Stanley, who wasn't happy about being surpassed by Samberg.

What's lost in all this is how bad the kings are at drafting and how overrated in general prospects are since when all is said and done a team once heralded for their pool really has nothing to show for it and ended up getting their pieces via trade.

Danoult, Fiala, Gavrikov, PLD goalie, all spots 3 years ago expected too be filled internally.

They obviously don't feel Byfield will stick at C, Turrcottes a big ol bust, they traded a bunch of dmen that king hook said were better than Quinn Hughes, Cal was waived after signing for 5 million etc etc.

It simply goes to show drafting is all about quality, if you can draft your 1C, 1D, 1G close together and they are all high-end continuing to suck and draft high is pointless. Even if you hit on more elite pieces, the time it takes to develop wastes time of the previous drafted guys and eventually it costs to much to keep them all.
And really if you trade a 1st for an older guy that immediately steps in and produces, your still getting value from said draft pick.
The kings horded their prospects in Ontario and by the time many of them got the call their value substantially decreased.

Vegas took it even one step further and unless there's a generational or can't miss prospect available fans need to stop obsessing over magic beans.

Vilardi is like Newhook. It seems like we've been reading about their elite promise for years and years, but it hasn't panned out... yet?

Vilardi is not like Newhook at all.

Vilardi actually had his coming out party last season and popped off despite only playing 60 games. And from reading this thread, Kings fans aren't happy to be losing him.

ok well, i had no idea i was talking to a fanboy

here i am, being level minded, bashing my own kings while supporting the fact that Dubois is indeed a good player

but you're a fanboy!!! and you already reveal yourself at being agressive when i haven't even insulted your mother

all good, so let me now play at your level

give me a $100m cap w/ a favorable expansion draft rule change, and i'll produce you cups at a faster rate than 6 years

loser
Your post insinuated that I didn't watch my team win the Stanley Cup, how else am I supposed to respond but to question what I was supposed to be seeing that you saw? Still waiting for specific examples, loser.

And bashing your own players isn't a sign of objectivity. I roasted Pietrangelo repeatedly for his slash on Draisaitl and I'm still pretty miffed about it. That doesn't make me less of a homer, especially since half the reason I was upset was a suspension would hurt the team.
