Yeah, but wouldn't it be better to add toughness with a guy who will actually play? I wouldn't put him in over anyone currently on the ice. If Grundy was out, maybe.

With Moore coming back it's going to be one less spot as well.
I mean, that is the nature of an enforcer. No one wants to play them, but everyone wishes they had one when something goes down :P It's a catch-22 in today's game.

Please.

The best sandwich is thinly sliced london broil with smoked gouda and Phillipe's mustard on cracked wheat sourdough.
Tbh, you had me at Phillipe’s mustard.

I’ll eat that shit with a spoon.

Worth noting he’s gotten cap space to TRY for another move. The other team has to ultimately play ball so let’s not bitch about the 5th round pick if nothing happens.

Im wagering he's close to something and need the extra cap... probably some brinksmanship going on to squeeze an extra pick out before 3pm EST

Saving money for someone like Monahan?

I've not once said Quick should be traded. You're doing an awful lot of flip-flopping in your arguing while looking down on people who may have changed their mind about how they wanted Quick handled.

I don't mean you specifically. People dont read or know every word I write either. It's the general sentiment. Kopitar and Doughty shouldn't be re-signed in their late 20's, when the team was making the playoffs, for what they did and mean to the franchise's history, but Quick, at 37, in an individually terrible season on this team, while the team is on the way to making the playoffs, should be kept around because of what he means to the franchise?

I think, in general, people are upset at how it's been handled, overall.

Yes, people were saying Quick should be traded earlier in the year, when goaltending was an even bigger question mark (Copley still being fairly new), and playoffs seemed so much further away.

Now, Copley has shown a degree of competence where the Kings are very close to playoff contention, and Quick's final 20 games were here, and he was traded away to a cellar dweller without any certainty of him playing a competitive game ever again.

People had reasons for wanting Quick to be traded earlier. And they have reasons for not liking how he was traded now.

And I'm with you on Kopitar and Doughty. I wouldn't have traded either of them back in 2015. I wouldn't trade either of them now, unless they refuse to go along with the direction of the team (or they requested a trade).

Smells like a cap move but now i'm intrigued what Blake may have up his sleeve that 500k was interesting enough to swap for

Loved Lemieux more than most but he wasn't even allowed to play with his rep, he couldn't look at someone the wrong way without getting a 2 and a warning that a 10 was coming as well. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything quite like it.

MacEwen might just be a try out for a big body 4th liner but I doubt he sees time in the playoffs
