I would lose a little respect for him if he blamed a loss on a call that at the very worst is borderline.

I mean, its not even really borderline. the general consensus (even among Rangers fans) was that it was a non call. he's just a baby when it comes to losing ; cant take it on the chin and give credit to the better team, ever. not very Kingly if you ask me

Yeah, I'm being generous. Kings are in his head. No doubt.

The most disappointing thing about the 2014 Final was the Kings didn't finish that garbage team off in four straight.

Instead of golfing this summer, Hank should use his guitar skills to write a song about how the refs are conspiring against him. Yandle could be a guest vocalist.

I just realized the 2012 calling-out-the-refs connection. Guess he brought it with him to the Rangers.

My favorite:
BTW, when I die on my tombstone it'll be written "The LA Kings killed the game of hockey"....

He should realize, his team never would have came into existence if it wasn't for the Kings. All Ducks fans need to realize that, we made them, they would never be a team without the Kings.

And that's a fact, Jack.

*I was drunk, for some reason I thought we started talking about the ducks*

Honestly, could any of you ever see Quick blaming anyone for a goal that he let in? To the press? I would be appalled to see him or any king player to act like that.

He'd just go to Perry's house, even if the Ducks weren't involved, and punch him in the gut on principle.

There's an under-appreciation for what Rangers fans bring to the GDT/PGT. They keep it entertaining. You go to one team's board and it's fairly empty. (Dallas) You go to another one and it's depressing with the posters spending most of their energy ragging on each other. (Chicago) The Rangers have a hopping thread and a sense of humor, to boot. Examples:

I'm having flashbacks. IM HAVING FLASHBACKS

Please stop saying you've battled hard. Does it matter whether you battled hard? You battled hard and couldn't protect a two goal lead? I battled hard to keep my anger from boiling over before I took a lead pipe to the deceased head, your honor.

Starting off my morning with a few chuckles isn't bad. Not bad at all. Thank you, Rangers fans.

That was a quote from a Rangers fan.

Even with Brown's scoring 3 games in a row his shooting percentage still isn't good for him. 5.9% just .1% above last year and still 3.5% below his career average. Just shows how bad he was shooting before this streak.

He was pretty bad in the defensive zone this game. It didn't help that Mcnabb/Schenn were on the ice with them at the same time but goal #2 and #3 I'd partly blame Brown on both(more goal #2 than goal #3). Goal#2 for the Rags he failed to clear the puck after Mcnabb couldn't handle it and it went right to him, on goal #3 he tried to throw a big check near the blue line and fell to the ice, got stepped around and Rangers scored after a scramble. (I'd say #3 was less his fault but still wasn't a very smart play) BUT HEY, he's scoring goals again so at it at least evens out.

As far as Rangers fans crying, they seem to be just as delusional as some Leafs fans get. I'm glad the Kings are good enough that the entire league hates them, it's fun! I think it's funny that Rangers players publicly cry about the refs, that's on AV, you know DS wouldn't take that crap. **** and play hockey.

That win was satisfying, but the PGT on the Rangers board absolutely made my day. My favorite is the Kings play caveman hockey. Before the Kings hate was annoying to me, now i just love it.

at least we won't have to care about the pissing and moaning from Ranger's players, fans and coaches till next season.

From NYR post GDT....

This is not a shot at Hank but rather a testament to how the Kings play hockey. With all the pressure and all the shots Hank didn't have to make that many great saves. This isn't a credit to the Rangers either. The Kings just don't create too many amazing chances. They bank on quantity and screens, tips, and rebound opportunities presenting themselves a few times in a game just from the sheer volume of shots they direct at net. How many great side to side saves Lundqvist had to make? This wasn't us playing great defense, it was the Kings being the Kings. They seriously are not a very skilled team. They're a heavy team that's good at going to the net.

lol, if the Kings aren't a skilled team, how are they winning 3 on 3's? Oh....because...

The reason I hate the Kings so much is that they're everything the Rangers are not...and LUCKY too (11-3 in OT - seriously?). Let's stop pretending LUCK isn't a big factor in sports. My only lucky team, the Giants, won because of the Tyree catch - LUCK. NY Jets, no luck. All Cleveland teams are UNLUCKY. Indians should have had at least 2 WS titles with that team in the 90's, instead they lost in the most horrific way possible - leading with 2-outs in the 9th. Lebron goes home and BAM! - Golden State is all-world. The current Cavs team would have crushed the 2011 Thunder (beaten by the Heat) but instead they have to face one of the most dominant teams ever. That's just BAD LUCK.

I don't want to hear luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Nonsense. Someone has to get the bounces and in sports there's just some cursed teams and some lucky teams. Random events aren't distributed "equally" - meaning that all teams get 50% good breaks and 50% bad. Sure, for the majority this is true. But on the edges of "luck distribution" there's extremely unlucky and extremely lucky.

The Rangers are definitely on the extremely unlucky end. How else can you lose 3 OT games in a Cup final? Go 75 years out of 76 without a Cup? And lose the Cup 7 times!?!? It's truly exhausting being a Ranger fan.

Kings get lucky in a OT format that obviously involves no individual skill, particularly the systems goalie :sarcasm:

I guess it was luck too the Pacific won the All Star tournament :)

I saw that luck post too and lost my mind. "theres just some cursed teams and some extremely lucky teams". no, there are good teams and there are teams that lose and make excuses. you lose 3 OT games in the cup finals because your players dont have the mental fortitude needed to battle back and win when it matters most. must be exhausting coming up with excuse after excuse, but I understand its hard to accept that your team SUCKS

I KNEW WE LOST IN 92-93 cause of LUCK! It couldn't have been because ROY was amazing and Hrudey was on his belly half the series...

They have skills, they can create chances. But it is kinda surpising they haven't been able to close out games. And the ones they do win, THEY actually got lucky, Game 4 anyone?

Rangers are just SOFT when it matters and their fans are delusional. I saw someone on the Rangers GDT thread after the 1st period actually say, "we're having a good game except for the lucky goal by their ******* captain", Kings had 27 shot attempts in the 1st period, rangers were in the low 10's. Kings dominated that period, they pretty much dominated the entire game, probably controlled about 50 of the 65 minutes.

Also the Rangers fans love to say the Kings "ruin hockey" or play "caveman hockey" but in reality they are just used to watching LEASTERN CONFERENCE hockey. I swear sometimes I watch and wonder if it's the KHL...
