This win highlights the Kings win in OT against the Caps, a week or so ago. We didn't let the Caps take it home, these Rangers didn't stand a chance. Rags were outplayed all game -- they were just waiting to be finished off. Absolutely reminiscent, to the T, of their '14 team.

Can't stop laughing at Ranger fans! What a pathetic bunch of losers. Seriously hate everything New York my goodness they are awful.
 
Next year the equipment changes will affect Lundqvist probably more than any other goalie. I look forward to it.
 
I thought it was luck that got them to the finals. It should have been the Habs in 2014. At least the series would have not been a snowpile from a sweep.

But maybe them knocking Price out of the series wasn't luck but just intent on team that can't play defense or close a series without taking out a star player. Whatever...***** ***** ***** moan moan moan...
 
It's funny to see the number of Rangers and Ducks fans who simply embarrass themselves with their incessant whining, spewing their blind hatred and bias against the Kings. It's too challenging for them to accept that the Kings are simply a better team. They can't admit that the Kings at hockey club.

I love the joker who says the Kings are the death of hockey. Maybe he should open his eyes and see how his boring ass Rangers team plays hockey, staying back and blocking shots. That's their attempt at playing defense.

yep. it's like the one thing Wings and Hawks fans will get along about, i've witnessed this incessant circle jerking in real life more than a few times over "Original 6" teams deserving this or that for basically no good reason
 
Anyone who talks about the Original 6 is an idiot. The NHL was founded in 1917 and there were only two teams that still exist. **** off with this Original 6 garbage.

Quick has given up goals that no goalie could stop (all those tips off of two Kings in 2012 come to mind) and he always has the same answer - "I have to make that save."

No player on this team is an excuse maker and every single one of them has self-accountability. From day one management instills that. They're all winners. Winners don't complain, they just get down to business.

Remember when Williams scolded that reporter who tried to give him an excuse for the way the Kings had played?
 
If anything, I think a possible playoff avatar set came out of the Rangers' PGT.

Individual players with their name and "killed hockey" - i.e. "Dustin Brown killed hockey." Add some blood effects and we're good to go.

Or dust off the movie killer idea, and make it "LA Kings killed hockey" with a picture of Freddy, Jason, Pinhead, etc.
 
Nice to see the Kings getting in playoff mode. Hopefully Brown can keep it going. Maybe he switches things up for the playoffs, plays more physically stops worrying about what he's supposed to do and just gets out there and does it.

Also good to see that HF Kings section is getting in playoff mode. The snarl really starts coming out when the serious hockey starts. :)

Instead of feeling positive about a good road trip and hanging in there against 2 playoff teams in the Pacific, they're now feeling like victims and the focus is on blaming the refs. This is exactly why they fold.
 
I said it after the SCF as well, but the Rangers do a good job of counter punching and nicking some goals off of breakdowns. That gets them some early leads. They do not have the ability to sustain an attack for extended amounts of time. So they dance around, hoping they can hang on for dear life against a true heavyweight and earn a decision. But eventually, they get caught and get knocked out. Oh, and the Kings have 3 guys (Kopi, Carter and Drew) who are easily more talented and skilled than any of those skaters on the Rangers.

I know quite a few people dislike advanced stats but the Rangers are an example of a team with bad Corsi and why that is problematic.

Even if you're getting excellent goaltending and counterpunching well--which the rangers have done arguably the best in the league over the last half-decade--if you're just getting pounded into your own zone game after game, you're more likely that not to lose those games. I think that's why the Kings are so effective against the Rangers long-term--our game is be physical, hem them in; THeir's is essentially hem THEMSELVES in and pray.
