Kings after the game:

Keep the Daisy Ridley gifs coming! You posted this just for me, didn't you?

The fact that it took until game 63 for us to get our second 2 man advantage of the season is ****ing ridiculous.

Unfortunately, not at all surprising.

56.3% CF%, almost 3 full % better than #2 and more than 6 full percent better than the median.

Yet, 186 PP opportunities, 28th in the league. Only teams worse are NYR and NYI--and NYR is a 47% CF team and NYI is just about the median.

And it happened again tonight. Shore gets friggin boarded right in front of the action ref and they let it go, it causes a turnover, and a few seconds later, bam, we're penalized for tripping in the offensive zone. It's maddening how hard it is to get calls when the team plays so big and strong.

Though I will say props to this ref crew for not being scared to blow the whistle in the 3rd.

7:56 5 on 5 TOI seems really low to me for Versteeg tonight.

He is a decent point scorer for a bad team. That's his ceiling these days.

He was horrible tonight. Watched him at the game and paid special attention.

Playoff scratch is a real possibility.

A lot of fans in the Canadiens section think that Subban is better than Doughty, what do Kings fan think about that?

I disagree with your sentiment.

I think I don't even care anymore since just about everyone craps on Doughty year round until it's time to talk about international competition, then all of a sudden most Canadians like him again.

I think Subban is awesome and it's great to see such competitive spirit despite the building burning down all around him.

Sure then his passing the puck around like a grenade leading to the PK goal and getting caught flat footed on the 2nd goal.. but yea he had a solid night. Good stick work.

Can't wait to see it against a team that puts more pressure in the O-zone.

Yes because the 2nd goal had nothing to do with it being deflected.

Some people like to have something to ***** about I suppose.

I don't know. First goal was unlucky that Pearson blew a tire. There was a scrum on the half wall preceding the goal and the Kings lost a board battle.

Second goal Scuds correctly took his man. Doughty was late on the rotation and it bounced off him and took a funny hop off the ice.

And enough with the "team achievements don't count" bs. If we had Subban instead of Doughty, we would be in year number 49 of the cup drought.

Let's see, Doughty leads one of the best puck possession teams in ice time while also being on the stingiest team in the league... something tells me he's pretty good at his job.

Toffoli really has looked off for a while now. Doesn't look like the Toffoli at the beginning of the season. Really hope he gets his mojo back before playoffs start. Pearson is finally getting his back so to have both of them going in playoffs is essential.
