Martinez has been absolutely nailing it the last couple weeks. And that was before the recent flurry of production.

That's also gotta be the happiest the camera has caught Sutter in ages after Martinez buried the winner in OT.

Wow, this just doesn't sound like Sutter. He's usually a lot more critical about his own team's performance.

"We played well enough to be leading after one and leading after two, and we could’ve still won it in regulation"

"What were the aspects I liked? Well, obviously…if you have the puck all game, you should feel good about it."

"[Reporter: Dustin showed incredible patience. He just held and held and held.] Well, Johansen lost coverage. Any time you lose coverage, it’s going to open something up."

"No, I think we played different tonight than we did the last couple games, that’s for sure, and obviously against a team that probably doesn’t have as much individual skill as the last two teams we played."

DS was in a GOOD mood tonight! If you have the game on DVR go check out the bench reaction after Marty scored .... Sutter was SMILING and congratulating Payne ...it was weeeeird to see that. lol.

Get this: I recorded the game, but forgot to add time in case of OT. The recording stopped with 2 mins left in regulation and I figured they'd lost.:laugh::laugh:

Man that was a crazy game. If it wasn't for Bobrovsky this wouldn't have been close. Honestly if we lost I probably wouldn't even be mad pretty much dominated the whole game. But I'll take the two points and Brown was out of control in OT. Epic epic tic, tac, toe goal.

All drafted and developed by the Kings too.

Hockey Central will be all over it tomorrow morning...NOT.

Instead, I'm pretty sure we'll be inundated with latitudes for Sparky the Sparkling Goalie and the revitalization of the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are no doubt headed for a Stanley Cup Final showing with some **** team from the Western Conference (Chicago or Los Angeles).

DL on Clifford, with a great reference:

“That’s the thing with Cliffy though, right? He’s like the guy on Monty Python. He’s got a broken leg, he’d still go out there,” General Manager Dean Lombardi said. “But I was telling him, ‘you’ve just got to tell us if you’re questionable.’ We had no inkling he was even questionable until he got here. It’s the way he is.”

it's only a flesh wound

That Monty Python reference cracked me up.

Come on Cliffy! Everyone knows he's a tough MF, but he's got a family to look after too. I hope he gets a decent amount of time off.

I think in the past couple, Weal hasn't done anything stupid... And Hopefully Mersch coming up will put on a show.... He (Cliff) should have the opportunity.

When was the last time we got to actually enjoy the regular season, with the boys high up in the standings? 1991?

This team is mentally bulletproof this year. Who could have imagined they'd be so good 3-on-3. I'm so confident when they get to OT because I know they'll lock that **** down.

Same here. Way different feeling than last season where I knew an OT/SO was an automatic loss. I think the last time were were this good after three periods was in 2010? That was when Quick was a beast in the shootouts.
