Matthews, Marner, Nylander - all absolutely terrible. Berube's influence isn't getting through to them.
You won’t get an argument from me. They 100% need to change this core.Who else would it be? We can get Scotty Bowman in to coach this team and they would still put out efforts like this. Until the core is disintegrated, we aren't going anywhere. That's the reality of it.
.500 team after 8 games. Not great for a supposed favourite to win the division. The good thing is that the whole division is very mid right now so nobody is running away with it early.
We had bad starts like this with keefe too. October always suckedWhen was the last time we were .500 after 8? Can't remember the season Babs got fired.
You said it.You won’t get an argument from me. They 100% need to change this core.
Nah, it’s Kampf and Reaves fault…oh and TimmonsYou won’t get an argument from me. They 100% need to change this core.
At least this was Matthews first bad game defensively so maybe he gets a bit of a pass, but Marner has been trash so far. No it's not typical early season Marner either. He looks out of sorts. Of course what does the coach do like the old guy, they remove the 3rd guy from the lineI wish coaches would stop treating Matthews and Marner as if they’re the Sedins. Their chemistry is not nearly as potent.
He's the same as Ilya Mikheyev in that training camp of 2019-2020. Training Camp MVP...over a ppg in the scrimages....Donuts on the boardRemember Robertson in the preseason...
That was nice, wasn't it?

But I was told Berube was different and believed it....Core looks gutless and worse as does the rest of the team

Is Toronto a coaching graveyard?
Right, silly of me to forget thatNah, it’s Kampf and Reaves fault…oh and Timmons
With this particular group of flunkies? Yes.Is Toronto a coaching graveyard?
and they came out and said they were excited to play a different style of hockey and open to changing the system and having accountablity.I don't think Matthews, Marner, and Willy really care about Berube. They couldn't care less. They will just do their own thing. Berube shouldn't have taken this job. There will be no accountability until that idiot Shanahan is gone. All he cares about is selling jerseys
It’s a coaching graveyard for a couple decades because the management that keeps comming in is more incompetent then the guys before themIs Toronto a coaching graveyard?
