Two obvious penalties in five seconds no calls? These refs should die.

So brown gets trip, held, then Kopitar gets the same thing to him and nothing is called. They weren't even looking to call anything there

He was so much less likely to try to beat a guy one on one the last two seasons. It's a night and day difference. He also had some terrible puckluck, with a lot of hit posts, but he sure looked hesitant to me, comparatively. I'll agree though that he was never as bad as the numbers made him out to be.

I agree about the stats.

Brown was really only (bad) in 2013-16. His play left a lot to be desired. But everyone is acting like Stevens has turned Brown into some kind of wonder scorer.

Brown has been pretty decent scorer his whole career if you look at it. Mostly under Terry Murray, Sutter.

Refs are honestly cancer against the Kings. I would not shed a single tear if all the refs in the NHL disappeared by tomorrow.

So f***ing bad.

Well I gotta run to a band practice. Hope they can get a quick one here to at least make the last ten interesting for you guys.

Gotta solve the Flames at some point, play 'em too many times a year to not.

No, Brown did not look this good last season. If he was this good, Sutter and Lombardi wouldn’t have a rotating cast of wingers playing alongside Kopitar.

Brown said he played 1 shift with Kopitar last season. Jordan Nolan played 10.
He fell out of favor with Sutter after 2014 and Sutter did everything he could to crush Brown confidence. It worked.

Scuds - DD
Mitchell - VV
Marty - Greene

Everyone knew the pairings Back then... nowadays we never know who is playing nevermind about the duos... and IMO Muzzin is the one Responsible for most of that

The D looks slow tonight. Forbort got beat to the outside twice, then makes a bad pinch leading to a 3-2. Fantenberg looks overwhelmed. Muzzin looks lazy. Martinez hasn't been good for a while. Doughty isn't Doughty. Sheesh.

When Quick is off this team has no shot. Thought maybe you would try to get Kuemper 1 start before the break.

Wonder what D man Blake is looking to acquire

Mortgage the future and trade for Karlsson :-)

Lucic just destroyed John Gibson. McDavid put a puck in the crease and Lucic just ran over Gibson. No penalty.

Kings really need to make a big trade for a two way defenseman before the deadline if they want a chance in the playoffs. Our defense is garbage regardless of stats.

It blows my mind that the Kings don't lay people out in situations like this. Run Smith, flatten Gaudreau. Where is the willingness to start a spark?

It's not a Sutter coached team anymore. I think they've been outshot more this year than during Sutter's entire time as the coach.

Doughty is the most experienced defenseman on the roster. MacD is a rookie. Fantenberg is an NHL rookie. Forbort still hasn't played 2 full seasons yet. Never really know what you'll see from Muzzin or Martinez, and they're the 2nd and 3rd most experienced defensemen on the roster.

This game isn't on Quick. They played like a bunch of asses since the start of the 2nd giving up 4 goal and gave the puck right back to the Flames at every chance.

I hate Mike Smith, But he has made a huge difference to the flames goalie spot and their breakout.
