How the **** did that period happen? Seriously, they shouldve had a ton of juice going into the 2nd after going up 2-0. Instead, they boarded the plane and flew home while giving up 4 straight.

Yep. Went from in control of coming home from an important road trip with 6 points and a chance for winning a 4th to instead going .500 over a stretch vs. western conference opponents for a lack of effort. Disgusting. Better respond with the best third period ever.

"yes let's send down Iafallo" it's bad enough we scratched him. MACDERMID is awful.

Doesn’t appear to work on iOS. Did these steps a few times, they keep coming back. Good job by whoever decided to migrate the boards to this shitty, spam filled version. Keep driving traffic away from your own site while monetizing.

Drew Doughty being the only d-man that's a + tells you everything you need to know about the Kings' defense

Didn't play great against Vancouver. Didn't do a ton until the 5 minute major against Edmonton. Worst period tonight since the game against Vegas. Tough to get outshot 17-5 in a period. It was 15-3 against the Knights, so, not too uncommon.

And I hate it all the same.
Goes back to Sutter and not just flipping the puck to a safe area but rather try to keep control even if you have to go backwards. Remember in 2016 in the playoffs when they would go to the red line then backwards to their own zone over and over about 5 times before they finally advanced past center ice? The days of barely moving Scuderi and Greene.

Great play by Brown to start things off. He wouldn't have tried those stick drag moves the last couple of years under Sutter. He's brought them back this year in a big way.

He wouldn't have tried it last couple of years cause an opposing player would have just slashed his hands or hooked him and made Brown turn the puck over. Now that's called a penalty and rightfully so.

It has nothing to do with Sutter.

I'm as big a Sutter fan as anyone but if you don't think Brown looks a hundred times more confident than last year I don't know what to tell you.

All the interviews I've seen from guys who played under both coaches have danced around taking shots at Sutter, but they've mentioned that Stevens doesn't hesitate to give guys a pat on the back when they need it.

Brown was awesome last year, people just looked at his stats and assumed he had another mediocre playing season.

Brown was one of the better Kings last year, he looked plenty confident.

You'd think after nearly 10 years in the league , Doughty would've learn that you can't shoot the puck through 3 guys on the pp.

It's clear he's playing more freely but I don't know if Sutter had anything to do with him not making that exact play. I think it's hilarious when people (not you) say Brown fell down because Sutter mentally ruined Brown's skating. Clearly they haven't watched Brown's entire career. There was a Twitter account called Fall Down Brown started in 2007 after all.

He was so much less likely to try to beat a guy one on one the last two seasons. It's a night and day difference. He also had some terrible puckluck, with a lot of hit posts, but he sure looked hesitant to me, comparatively. I'll agree though that he was never as bad as the numbers made him out to be.

No, Brown did not look this good last season. If he was this good, Sutter and Lombardi wouldn’t have a rotating cast of wingers playing alongside Kopitar.

at least the kings are more in control this period

still not looking good but it's an improvement
