How about Stolarz? Big guy that has played in the Pacific. Cost should be low.
I like him also. Stolarz career numbers are pretty decent.

He's never actually played on a good team before. Playing goalie for those terrible Ducks teams is really hard. His numbers have been better than Gibson's.

His analytics are mid (but positive), I think you put him in a good situation he could surprise.

He's also played for Todd McClellan before.

As far as discount goalies go, I'd definitely be looking at him if I was Blake.

This may be true but you need a good PK to beat the oilers. After shipping off AI and Kupari (and daydreaming about jettisoning Moore too), last year's atrocious kill is now somehow much, much worse. It's almost as big a problem as goalie imo
While true and a fair point, I think it’d be cheaper to neutralize their PP by hurting their best players. They’re pretty much 1-2 man team. Get some guys to run them and their game will stop.

This can’t be real. Zack MacEwen is trash and terrible

Probably, or near equivalent. I mean, he is an RFA and literally the only "tough" guy within the entire organization. I'd expect they'd at least have him in the press box for this year, but knowing TMac he'd probably be with Danault :P

I can't believe they're even considering MacEwen.

He's not an NHL player.

When he tried to be tough he put the Kings on the PK and got his ass kicked by Hague.

Aside from that, all he did was fall down and lose the puck even when there was no opponent in sight.

I mean, I would be over the moon if they somehow acquired Askarov, but at the same time, I am not sure that is the play and it would be a weird thing to go into the season you are expecting to contend for a deep playoff run with a 21-year-old goalie with 1 NHL game of experience. Goalies are tough and usually aren't ready for starting duties until their mid 20's.

You would literally be giving the keys to Copley and hoping the kid turns out while spending a King's ransom on him to be sure, but I don't know how you can expect him to be ready or capable to backstop the team for a playoff campaign. I mean, it would be the craziest move Blake has made yet and he has made some crazy choices...

For all the Kings draft choices and choices in this draft I hope for continued development for the next few years(2-4) before turning pro ready and willing! Lets have all teams show patience with these young players and no more turning them pro before they are ready...no more 1 and done...and busts...I'm thinking of Byfield and Turcotte here...wish they has stayed where they were or could have had a better development path! Best of Luck to them and all the Kings picks as well as the Kraken picks and all picks may the Force be with you!!!

Yes it would be a giant gamble.. but after their experience with Cal, im not sure they trust themselves to make this call.

Don't think we have what Nashville would want. Unless they want Arvidsosn back, no way I deal QB for him
Id definitely consider it if they sent us back another asset.. I mean Blake is going all in for a 2-3 year window.. I dont think QB is going to help as much as a solid goalie would in next couple years.

Why not just put him in the AHL? Him and Portillo split games.

I'm curious about a hyphenated first name. Does he insist on people calling him Pierre-Luc, or do some people just call him Pierre?
During the call, everyone called him Pierre-Luc. So, I'm assuming that's his preference unless I'm corrected.
