Buffalo is not trading a 1st round pick in 2022 that is currently projected to be 4th overall or a 1st round pick in 2023 that has multiple franchise type players at the top of the board for Matt Roy. And they certainly aren't adding Peterka. That would be like one of those trades the Kings and Seals made with Montreal in the 70's.

Roy for Peterka +1st. Buf
No offense, I'm sure I've posted some bad trade proposals myself, but no way in hell is Matt Roy worth that.

A player like Roy could never fetch a top 5 pick, much less an additional quality prospect.

You might as well offer Roy for Power if you think he's worth that much.

I think sending Walker to Buffalo makes a lot of sense. I don’t see where all these guys fit. Doughty, Roy, Durzi, and Walker already on the right side next year, and by all accounts Clarke will be here as well. Durzi and Clarke would make an excellent offensive 1-2 punch. Durzi’s already become one of my favorite Kings, I really don’t want to lose him.

I wonder if we could trade Walker for Luukkonen?

Trade for the summer
Roy for Hoglander +1st. Van
Roy for Peterka +1st. Buf

Maybe Buffalo wants to go crazy with
Roy + Kempe for Quinn. Add picks where needed. Podkolzin could be a target with Roy & Kempe too.

Like Roy, like his game. Someone is getting moved out of RD.

Man if Roy can return a first this must be a shit draft.

I was giving the poster the benefit of the doubt that the first was going to be Florida's or Vegas's, but even then no chance. Peterka is looking so good to being with that I am not sure they would do one for one.
Also where would Peterka fit in in LA? He is a player I would try and find a spot for though.

I can't see how we'd help out Vancouver -who should be a playoff contender next year- by sending them a top four D man for prospects/picks. And Buffalo is nowhere near at the point they should be dealing prospects.

Trevor Moore's play this season is nearing $6M/year market value according to some public models. Two trades and a UFA signing brought us one of the best 2nd lines in the league in the span of 2 years. Wild.

Out: Jack Campbell, Kyle Clifford, 2021 2nd round pick, 2022 3rd round pick
In: Trevor Moore, Viktor Arvidsson, Phil Danault

What's good about that--I know others will disagree--is Blake isn't f***ing anyone over, either. He's making good hockey deals that make everyone happy. That's good business.

If it's in the division then sure go for murder but for everyone else at least :P

Missing Grundstrom there too.

Right? God damn, this kid can't buy respect at this point. lol.

A solid legitimate #2 defenseman with term on a reasonable deal shouldn't be moved for anything less than a first round pick.

 I like Roy, despite some gaffes here or there, he has definitely turned into a solid defender that can do some damage here or there, but I think #2 is a stretch sell. Maybe, if he is super lucky and develops aggressively, he can fill a #2 role as a veteran 30+ on a lower-tier team, but I think just about everyone is going to see his ceiling as maybe a #4 guy or an incredibly solid 5-6 option.

Yeah Roy is not a “legit” #2 Dman. LOL. He’s more of 4-6 on a good team. No team will part with a 1st rd pick for him. Even the Cup Champ at #32.

@Telos Tonka had a huge game last night against The B's. Even though he didn't score I'd say it was his best game in a Kings uni.

Besides Lizzotte and Lemieux, Tonka and Andersson bring that sandpaper element this team needs during the grind of the regular season and if we somehow make it to the post season.

You know it's interesting that Carson Soucy is the +/- leader on the Kraken at +9 and it's really not even close. Most of the team is well in the minus column. Perhaps this would be a great target for the Kings to go after.
He's 6'5" too - we could use some height on this team... interesting he has finished positive in seasonal +/- his entire career Carson Soucy at eliteprospects.com

Sekera and Coleman deals were at the trade deadline. So who here is on board with dealing Roy over the next few weeks for picks/prospects, especially if it's to Vancouver, while we're in strong position to make the playoffs?

If you're talking an off-season swap, the value won't necessarily be the same. Values are always out of whack at the deadline.
