and to answer his question, literally any of those guys. Brown coming off the pp is in itself a net positive.

Brown on the PP is not the bigger issue IMO that is the actual scheme.
That said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Maybe Lizotte or QB would breathe some life into the PP so why not try it. Cannot be much worse, and if it is you can always go back. And if that happens maybe it will light a fire under Brown.

See, I think the scheme is perfectly fine. Its used by multiple teams. The problem here is personnel.

Frankly, Kopitar either needs to be moved off the half wall or moved to the second unit. Plays die on his stick while he settles every stinking puck down before moving it out around the point. Kills 30 seconds of every PP.

They don't really have a quick puck moving center on the pro roster. Vilardi and Turcotte might be, but wait, thats right they are wingers-in-training and Turcotte doesn't even get PP time so Tynan can Crash Davis his way around the AHL record books.

Imagine having 2 PP points in your last 67 games and getting guaranteed minutes every night, then some hack douchebag comes to your defense when your futility gets pointed out.

Have some goddam pride Dustin. Call it a day.

I don't really know to be honest. I'd prefer not to move him, as he's part of the team's future leadership corps and the crown jewel of our botched 2015 draft, but if the right offer came around I do think he's movable. If anything, I'd include him as part of package offer for Byfield maybe.

i'm not a twitter/podcast guy, but i don't see you throwing "pal" around here like that, for damn sure. i think especially lately you've been super interactive around here, and personally i think it's cool that someone in a semi-official sitting is willing to shoot the shit on the daily rather than publicly demean us and act like our opinions are completely ridiculous like that chode bernstein. glad he's comfortable copping that attitude behind a screen though.

Teams coming out of a rebuild aren't supposed to be in the playoffs. Its perfectly okay to take some lumps with a greater good in mind. But it isn't okay to take the lumps to chase the uncatchable while delaying the necessary progress required to actually get back to the playoffs.

Two ends being played at once, neither is successful, both hurt by the simultaneous focus on the other. Its too cute for a management team who frankly has yet to succeed at anything.

Pick a direction and put full faith and effort into maximizing its potential for success and stop dicking around.

Luc would have to admit he was wrong, and that the Kings will never win another cup with Kopitar, Doughty, and Quick on the roster.

This isn't the bill of goods Robitaille sold AEG, so he should be fired.

When is Andersson coming back? I think a third line of Andersson-Byfield-Vilardi would be great.
Wanna see him back with Vilardi before the deadline or end of the season for a last shot to establish themselves on the team before they are moved for peanuts.
They had nice chemistry last season and maybe it can over this year. Theres nothing better going with that line so its worth a shot.

What the f***? Wasn't Moore the hottest player on the team for a long while there? Literally, any of those guys would be better. What the f***?!?!? That response pisses me off. And I am literally Brown's biggest supporter on here, but he belongs no where on special teams. He is a bottom 6 even strength player and that's it, and he needs to be taken off of Byfield's wing. Byfield is making plays and neither of his wingers can keep up or get the puck back to him. f*** Bernstein, TMac needs his feet held to the fire a little here.

f*** it I am double posting. What pisses me off the most about this team is they have the worst special teams possible and they keep insisting on forcing the same personnel into the same situation. We literally have a bunch of young players that fit this specialization. Vladimir Tkachev had 2 points in 4 games, was sent down and has 19 points in 21 games. How many f***ing times have you seen a young Russian patiently wait in the minors for a shot in the NHL? We have Frk, scored a powerplay goal the first game he was in, sent down and has 44 points in 35 games. Hell, Vilardi 29 points in his last 28 games in the AHL. These kids are f***ing ready to produce and are specialized for these situations. f***ing use them. Tkachev is 26 years old. Frk is 28 years old. Vilardi is 22 years old. They are f***ing ready. No excuses. It is time to tell the veterans to shut the f*** up and play where you're told to play.

Bernstein really had a poor response to me and I called him on it. Good to see some actual dialog for a change though.
