I personally find them expendable, especially considering how anyone they stuck with PD just seemed to play 2-3 levels above what they’ve shown.. be it Kempe, Iafallo and obviously Moore and Ardvisson.
Of course me saying all of this is based on the expectation that some kids will finally step up from the pool of Kupari, Fagemo and maybe even Turcotte health permitting.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I expect them to be forced out sooner rather than later

I hope they don't play Fiala-Kopitar-Kempe always together in preseason games, but give QB 2 games
with these: Fiala, Kempe, Moore and see where he's at. Give him the best wingers a few games. See
how he does, lined up with the best talent.

Since reading isn’t your strong suit, I said anyone not everyone. Funny you highlighted it and you still didn’t understand it. I already struck a deal before you said anything.

Also I’m glad that you declared yourself the representation of the La kings board. I’m glad to see you think so highly of yourself lol

How about a Kempe-Byfield-Kaliyev line? They were on the ice together a couple times randomly last year during line changes and looked good enough that there could be something there.

Like counting out prospects because they are not top 6 guys by 21....or top 5 picks who don't make the team playing big minutes in their draft year (or def. d+1). You know the drill around here.

Seriously though, since we on the topic: the one way i'd considering re-signing Moore is if they traded Arvi in the offseason (summer 2023). Thereby opening a top 6 spot for a youngster (yes, i'm assuming at least one takes the opportunity and can handle/run with it after this season). I'd also like to see fall into that AI role (with AI gone and another spot opened up). Either way, i am hoping 2 of 3 spots are opened in 2023-2024 season between AI, Moore & Arvidsson.

That would be good.
I'm just thinking preseason - since QB is up to 225 lbs, is now 20 and has some games played - to not put him out there with Gabe, Kaliyev, Kupari - but get him top minutes with Fiala and Kempe and see how he does.
He's now at his best, health wise, more muscle, a decent amount of games (and maybe hunger) and the best way to gauge where he's at, is to give him the best talent (regardless if he ends up with Kupari, Gabe)

And then give Kopitar Kupari and Gabe, giving them the best center and see where they are at.

Danault has immediately become a fan favorite in every possible way. We’re thrilled to have him on the team and to see his offensive skills blossom, but his compete and overall attitude is probably appreciated even more. I’ve said it many times before, but if you look up “hockey player” in an encyclopedia, you’ll see Danault’s picture!

All of the Kings’ young centers have yet to make a consistent impact. Some are still potentially on tract in their development (Byfield), relatively on track (Kupari) and behind (Turcotte and Vilardi). Many of them will probably convert to wingers if they stay in LA, though you’d have to imagine one or two will be traded over the next couple years. I’m most excited about Byfield and I’d say most are too (though a good amount of people on this board think he’s being mishandled and not given enough opportunity to gain experience).

I get it, I don’t block anyone either. I’ve never blocked anyone and don’t plan to ever. You both may feel “yeah, so why should I then”? Because you two are essentially alcoholics that need the full blown AA equivalent while the rest of us can responsibly enjoy a beer or three.

I’m not asking mods to step in or limit you guys in any way, I’m not asking either of you guys to stop posting or having an opinion about the team, I just ask that you BOTH to do us all a favor and take away the stimulus for you two to keep slapping each other tit-for-tat by blocking each other so you just don’t see the others comments. It’s f’ing agonizingly boring for EVERYONE to be spammed by BOTH of you in your incredibly predictable and pathetic feud. This is meant just as strongly at Sol, I’m not picking “favorites”.

I blocked him already. He usually has a bone to pick with me but don’t know if you’re aware he attacks people in general so don’t think this is just an issue with me in particular. He’s just like that.

Gotcha, thanks for the insight. I have no beef with either of you, but if you guys could both try to ignore each other a bit more it really would be swell.

It's going to be interesting. Blake typically has a surplus of roster bodies signed so someone is going to have to be moved eventually. As it is they're sending Spence to Ontario.

kings have a glut of forwards and defense, i said it last year they need to trim the fat. haven't learned their lesson. mind boggling when they signed movare.

It's the hedge bet philosophy. At some point you either trust your scouting and development or you have the foresight to trade them before they hit waiver eligibility and still have value. Playable organizational depth is good in case of injury or COVID, but you are always going to favor the NHL contract player over the kid who is waiver exempt. Have to clear the decks one way or another.

kinda my thought here too. I like that he is cocky, but maybe needs to bulk up a bit first
