Probably because they didn't practice yesterday. Guessing solely on the video of the injury he's going to be out at least a couple weeks. Not on the ice for the skate either, I'm sure someone will talk to the staff after the skate and we'll get a report sooner rather than later. Either way, highly doubt he's playing tonight.

If we make a deal, it will be for a top 6 forward, not a D. We obviously have some organizational depth at D lol. They're young and inexperienced, and they will get exposed on occasion until we get some of the regulars back, but they're talented and hungry. I think at roll with what we got on D no matter the injuries. Even when fully healthy we don't score enough, a forward at the deadline, or through FA makes more sense imo.
