I say Tobias has been very solid and constantly improving throughout the season. In the last few games, he's made some nice plays carrying the puck into the ozone for scoring chances.
 
As pleasant a surprise as the Buf and Bos games were, those SJ games were equally as deflating. They've given up 8 consecutive GA.

Someone, anyone, has to step up, in any way.

I'd suggest it has speed (Kempe, Moore, Byfield, Andersson, JAD, Lizotte, Bjornfot, Durzi).
I think it has skill (Kempe, Kopitar, Kaliyev, Danault, Vilardi, Durzi, Maatta, Spence).
I don't know what you mean by toughness, but there's tenacious puck pursuit (Moore, Danault, Iafallo, Andersson, JAD, Lizotte, Grundstrum).
I'd suggest it's lacking youth with NHL experience that's been well integrated into the lineup in the positions they now need to play (Kaliyev, Vilardi, Byfield, JAD, Spence, Moverare).

The best time to work on that integration into the lineup was 4 months ago. The second best time is today.
 
The one good thing that will come from this is that the kids will be exposed to make or break type pressures from trying to help keep the team in the playoff hunt…

We’ve all wondered how and when these kids would be in the big club, bows the perfect time for them to show the promise we all think they have

It's a long season, a lot can change over 82 games. Remember when everyone was sucking on the Ducks balls 30 games into the season? Now look at them...who knows, that might be us too.

Valid point, except the Ducks didn't lose 6 [ 7 if you include Walker] starters and a role player. They're losing with the guys who got them there .

I don’t like that he will be a little more then day to day comment for Roy. Maybe it’s a good thing we didn’t trade 3 or 4 players for Chychrun. We need all the players we can right now as our team is getting crushed by injuries

If Doughty and Bjornfot can't return Tuesday, do they call up Markus Phillips?
Even if he doesn't play, I never thought that would come close to even crossing my mind.
